I am gonna get into trouble posting this here coz it should be in Food and Drink but fok it. I am easy.

I went down Walking Street tonight determined to find Davethailands bar.

    Guess what?

    I found it.

opposite the marine disco, it's no secret. MH & myself went in there last time we were over. dave was nowhere to be found though, so no free drink. i suspected the tight git might be hiding down behind the bar during out visit, but that was never proven. on a really good night you can see pat there, with one of his uni gals in tow.

Damn, I should have saved the other pic of the entrance. Never mind. These gals open and close the doors for everyone as they come or go. Coolio.

    Its a nice touch Dave.

Once inside you are aware of the space around you. This venue aint just a bar it is a proper fokking venue. I first went in looking for Dave at around 10pm and I got to dmit that there wernt many folks in. The band playing at the time was pretty good. A falang on lead/rythum, Thai guy on bass and I aint got a clue about the drummer coz he was obscured by his Zildyons (is that how you spell it?). It might be a J but who cares. They were pretty tight and the lead singer was a lady who sure knew how to sing.

A thai lass I think. Anyway, Dave wernt around so I headed on and ended up giving pole dancing tips to some gals at another bar who I also hope will become life long friends.

Here ya go. This is the place just after midnight. Well from where was sitting anyway.

It aint a great shot coz The Blues Factory was humming by this stage. There was a band playing stuff I hadnt heard in years. I think they even covered a Uriah Heep number. You know? The one that goes 'dooot dooot do'. Oh no. That was Pink Floyd. No it wasnt, it was Deep Purple.
Hark at me will ya? I feel like I am a grouppie again.

Now this band was good and did it easily. Covering stuff from Santana to Led Zepp and more. Very tight. I wished I knew what they were called but I am sure Dave can fill that bit in.

Naturally I would want to give Dave a big up for his place but I can genuiely say that I was well impressed. The standard of service was excellent. I cant remember about how much the beer was coz by this stage I couldnt give a shit anyway. Everyone was having a great time and when the band finished I wanted to run on stage and grab a microphone and get everyone line dancing.

    I didnt though.

I was in there a few weeks ago and have to say that the band there is pretty good. I remember there was this total wanker in the front row and his "date" claimed it was her b-day and so the band played the b-day song for her. He then proceeded to buy the band drinks (none of which they touched). The guy couldn't have been a day over 18.

    Music was good, though.

Nopers Fon Tok. The Blues Factory is almost unique in as much as you bring your own woman if you want with no corkage charge. If you havent got one just stand outside 7/11 and say "Bpy nai?" a lot. Should take just a few mins and you will be sorted.
Actually I find it quite refreshing that you dont have gals climbing all over you at The Blues Factory. Its about music this place. And well worth it mate.
