^ i stil; dont unnerstand, how it realte to thai gogo bar
?
I really must compliment one GOOD Go-Go Bar. A few nights ago I went to the Silver Star Go-Go at the Beach Road end of Soi 7. (on the left hand side on the way down towards the beach) I counted 32 ladies working there...with 7 of them dancing at any one time. The whole place was buzzing with life and activity. Many farangs came in and everyone seemed happy. Most of the girls were presentable. The owner told me he had 35 girls working there. The best place to sit (I found) is down at the back where two young ladies are constantly washing themselves. Some foolish Farang give them extra money to be VERY efficient at their cleaning. Without donating you can sit there anyway. A GREAT Place!!
(You see...I'm not always complaining. If I find something good I'll say so) I suggest you give it a try.
Firstly, I commented that Angeles City go-=go bars were basically all friendly. (Except the Korean place - that's unique).
Then I said that there were cheap flights from Bangers to Clarke Air Base ( Diosdado Macapagal International Airport - or come such).
Subsequently another poster queried that statement and suggested that the routing took in KLIA first.
From that post I checked my info again and found that the query was correct. There are no direct flights until October this year.
So I posted the correction.
All this derives from the complaints about unfriendly go-go bars in pattaya and my suggestion that the bars in AC are friendlier.
Ah ok. makes sense now! cheers.
I've spent many months in Angeles City. The bars are friendly, the chix poot Ankrit, the beers and hotels cheaper and the music better. Cambodia Club rocks! Volcano is also nice. Start at Margeritaville for a fun night.
I recommend the Oasis Hotel with giant pool and photo-book at check-in desk with biographies of girls available. (direct from Hotel)
You can, however, end up dead, much faster if you're not safe, than in Bangkok. If you think life is cheap in LOS, you ain't seen nothing.
What's that one where they all dress up as playboy bunnies? That was nice.Originally Posted by Texpat

I frankly don't give a shit if they want to go out -- that's what I'm trying to do. If they want money to go out, they better give me awesome service.
Who am I fooling? In Thailand, I usually give about 10% of the bill as tip, unless the service is exceptional.
Forgive the slight diversion from the topic but I went into Champion Go gO in Patts, the night before last, If you are into watching Granny dancing, I think I have found your place.
Ist time in a Go Go for two years, I thnk the next time will be in 4 years .
u cant change the reality......u gotta find a way to get what u want (or need)......
i was there in 2000 and 2005.....it had changed a lot (or maybe I am just more jaded...or both).......pattaya was well downhill in 2005 IMHO....so was nana in BKK. I just think a-gogos r places to be less frequented.....bet u wont find too many expats in them....they have their fav lil beer bars.......local girls.......etc
there is more too life than cheap sex anyway........my point to all this......dont have one.....just miss the place......anyone got any ideas for how to live n work there?
i want a lil place on the beach.........in phuket........yeahhhhh
Your friend sat down. Had a drink. paid the bill + a tip. Nobody talked with him.
My attitude is he shouldn't even have tipped.
Tell them to f*ck off and take the tip back.
In Pattaya, American azzholes tip a lot. The locals then start to make distinctions about say, Germans, because Germans don't usually tip. "They cheap."
If I know and like the person, and they are genuinely friendly, I tip in Pattaya. Otherwise, I don't.
Sadly, over time, tourist areas grow to become less personable, more hard, and less friendly.
............
They do, but they tend to be fussy about service.Originally Posted by Milkman

I drink in 3 bars on Phuket - not Go Go - 2 in Rawai and one in Phuket town. In Rawai I always give a 20 baht tip no matter what I have had and the girls are always friendly - good service - lend you an umbrella if it is pissing down when you leave ( bring it back next time !)
In Phuket town its a laugh- same service and same nice girls- they get whatever loose change I have in my left hand pocket - I never plan ahead - sometimes they get 50 baht+ and sometimes 50 satang and a couple of 7-11 tokens - no problem
Seems really simple answer to this, DONT TIP ANYONE, then the girls will start to miss the money they were getting, maybe think why there not getting it, and service will improve to get the tips back.

Because you're sticky, what other reasons could there be?Originally Posted by navydoubs1977
Yeah at first but when everyone is doing it they might wonder why. only really good service ive recived on my trips out there is from lumpinee car rent, and baan ing nam.Originally Posted by stroller
There is a difference between your bar bill and the tip
the tip is for the friendly service, the bar bill for your drinks
if you don't get friendly service, then no tip
most of the girls know that and act friendly, they like tips
