Hankering for a carvery - best in Pattaya?

Hungry.. Hang over hungry. Need meat. Want carvery.

    Where's the best?

Roasted meat, selection of ham, lamb, beef, chicken etd.
Roasted Potatoes - none of the mashed shit.
Vegetable - sprouts, cawliflower cheese perhaps?
Gravy from the pan, not a packet.
Bread Sauce? Fark I'd love some bread sauce.
    Meat. Lots of meat.
Sell real beer and not only bottles of that gassy fizzy shit.

Don't care about the cost. Just quality.

    Where?

Boysen Bill's on Soi crocodile under the freeway, just past the easy bar on the right and before you reach the crocodile farm has the best sunday roast with lamb. chicken, beef and pork, heaps of vegies (including sprouts) and home made gravy and delightful yorkshire puddings. Basically all the above you have asked for and more.

If you want takeaway take the biggest plate you have and the owner Wayne will fill it up.

Fooking mega meal and all for around 220 baht. Not a bad little hole in the wall pub and with no slappers and the beer is cold and cheap.

Bread sauce and yorkshire pud and proper onion gravy should be served with every sunday roast, not just beef.

Pattaya - never been but would think you will be spoiled for choice, especially on a sunday.

That sounds good LT, cheap too. I'll check it out. Not sure if pseudo would venture to the darkside though.

You're spoilt for choice in central Pattaya - loads of pubs do a carvery, long running ones include Jamesons, Shenanigans & the Queen Vic. I go to the Queen Vic in Soi 6, it's around 320 bht for a roast buffet with all the trimmmings, plus soup and prawn coctail. English ale too.

    puke

Anyway, I went to Jamesons. For some reason I thought they did a carvery but alas no. Having said that Beef, pork and lamb with all the trimmings (except bread sauce) was very good indeed only soured by a signed picture of murderer ariel sharon on the wall. Nice as it is, would never go back for that reason. I did enquire if they also had signed photos of Pol Pot, Mugabe, stalin and Hitler and was asked to leave

I used to eat at the Sportsmans when I was a murderer. A carvery is shit without meat though.

Still nagging not helped by [at][at][at][at] bangkok drivers trying to kill themselves with their driving and the missus asking me a series of weird questions which ultimately did my head in.

More paracetamol and water and nap now. Contemplating a take out roast later from somewhere else tonight - still hungry.

    Good god that looks awful. A carvery? That sounds close to a mortuary. Not a place I would want to eat. This is how it should be done;

That's how we eat in Seattle.

That is when it as its best.

You more then likely could go down to the carvery and eat some shit that has been under the heat lamps for hours. Gross

Not if prepared to order - it can be done.

The buffet style certainly does suck. Food sitting under heat tends to lose it's quality.

Fucking merkins - know nothing about food.

Snubbs beef effort is an abortion and fundamentally dangerous. I dare say Mr Leftie (most right winged leftie I've ever encountered) thinks there is something manly about eating a raw piece of beef. Rare beef has been lost in translation recently due to shit chefs thinking that raw beef is rare. Well, its not. That is Blue, and unless you are very sure of the supply chain of the beef, it is best avoided. Rare beef is properly cooked yet succulent and juicy. That shit that snub is trying to pass of as quality? Dog food.

If thats how your eat in Seattle? No wonder you are all sleepless .... on the bog all night.
