Never found this place (never looked that hard) - did wonder about it as they have a carvery as well legend says. Looks like a winner though on Tripadvisor and will be tested next week I reckon. cheers for the tip.
(oh and you will note that I was simply responding to snubbs drunken drivel)
Going toward the beach on Theppasit from Sukhumvit go past Soi Khaopai and take the next right at the 7-11. Follow this zig zagging road, Punch and Judy is on the left side about halfway to Third Road. Very traditional nice looking exterior, you can't miss it.Originally Posted by pseudolus

Go to the Hilton. It's what I do when I fancy some decent meat and all the bits. And it has the bonus the slap headed, vest wearing, tattooed oiks with their girls who look like they just fell out of Walkimg Street are not present.
Desserts are good too.
If you want a serious splurge, the Sunday buffet at Mantra is the knackers. Unlike many buffets, the food is actually good- because that which needs to be freshly prepared, is.
I detest buffets and like my food cooked on the spot or there abouts.Originally Posted by sabang
Most food that make up a buffet is prepared the night before and there is no way you have a decent real Sunday roast experience.
News flash - the vast majority of sunday roasts you have in a pub / restaurant will be from a buffet that is kept in the kitchen and served up. You can not cook a big lump of meat to order just to carve a couple of slices. Roasted vegetables need an hour plus, so they are cooked in advance. You might get the vegetables cooked to order but it is unlikely with most pre cooking and heating up in the micro wave prior to serving.
It doesn't actually make any difference at all whether it is a carvery or an a la carte sunday roast; the kitchen processes are exactly the same. What does matter is the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chef.
Is that the Wayne who used to have the resort/bar place on the corner of the lake?
1. Go to Chicken Crossroads coming from Sukhumvit turn left.Originally Posted by pseudolus
2. Drive straight until you reach the crossroads with 7eleven in front of you on the left.
3. Drive across the intersection and continue straight and go under the motorway.
4. About 300 metres ahead you will see the easy bar on the left.
5. Drive past and 300 metres ahead you will see Boysen Bill's on the right.
6. A German restaurant is next door also with great food and particularly the bread.
7. If you drive another 300 metres you will see Pattaya Crocodile Park which is worth a visit.
8. If you get lost call Kurgen.
Yep the one and only.Originally Posted by Kurgen

Kim Fletcher formally made a great Sunday Roast but that was in Jools in Bangkok who prepared the meal in the kitchen not off an outside table. His S. Roasts in Jamiesons these days are too dry and over cooked. Not his fault........that's the way the Jew tells him to make it.
Yeah of course. I made a vow last week never to drink again, and the week before, and the week before.... carry on every week until I was 29 (9 years ago) when the day of my 30th birthday I got my first hang over that lasted 2 days.
I had a good run by switching to Bombay Sapphire rather than beers, but my hangover drumming monkey inside my head has cottoned onto the fact that it is not water or pop, and is starting to get up to his old tricks again.
Alcoholism is a problem and symptomatic of inadequacy. If it impinges to the point that you cannot function properly then you should address your consumption. As I said elsewhere, uncontrolled micturation can be sourced to excessive alcohol intake irritating your urinary tract causing inflammation.
Perhaps thegent leman known as seekingasylum is distraught at the lack of AA meetings in Budleigh Salterton. The good news is that there is a meeting this evening in Exeter, which he might make if he doesn't miss the bus.
More good news is that there's a carvery in the Salterton Grill and Bar.
