I used to live in Patong and everyone said that it was a shithole. I liked it as I could walk to work, good fresh market and lots of places for a beer or a meal. Not cheap though.

It's the omnipresent stink of shit everywhere in Pattaya. The construction of a drainage system is beyond the chickenhead it seems and the stench of sewage is quite dreadful after the recent rainfall.

Maybe when they get the Chinese to build their railways for them the chickenheads can ask them to lay a sewer system that actually works while they're at it.
