Unfortunately the cops have no motivation to do their job in a case like this.

It would mean doing work for them. They know it's pretty pointless as it would be well gone (possibly in pieces) by the time they got out of their chair. They didn't buy their position for this sort of non-profit malarky.

5k insurance premium would have been ok; I balk at paying a premium greater than 10% of the bike's value. Any way the bike is gone and that is that. I might head up to Chiang Mai for a while, then try a new location, such as the Philippines or Cambodia

I've got the super dooper Honda wheel lock. I'm sure the 800B monster will deter any professional thief.

Yes. Did a few 'sieg heils' and all is well (apart from the lingering cum after taste).

I hate to see a guy's vehicle be stolen.

    Sorry for your lose.

May they one day be hit by something long and hard.... while in prison for stealing bikes.

My missus says gargling lime juice will take care of that.

Indeed - a biro and 10 seconds will do the trick.

^ I have seen several YouTube videos of locks with a round type key being picked in just that manner.

The parking compound of my apartment had a flat key Ison type lock. Unfortunately there is a Chinese tool that makes picking one of those locks easy to open.

If a skilled and determined thief wants your bike, he will have it. Theft insurance is, at the end of the day, the only way to minimize your risk about some one stealing a bike...

Chonburi Police Hunting For Motorbike Thieves : Khaosod Online

Hats off to Khaosod News for running the story. The English language Pattaya rags would not touch it...
