    Condo in Jomtien area

I have not been to Jomtien for about three years so I'm sure things have changed, new condo blocks etc. I'm needing a studio condo for six months, Can any members give advice as some good condo buildings where I might find a furnished studio type for under 10,000.B a month.

Thank you in advance for any info you can give.

    ^ Have a look around View Talay 1 A/B or 2 A/B.

Both are set back off the main road down from Pratumak.

    9k - 12k.

    ^ Yup.

They are 4 huge blocks with security and lovely pools.

    1A
    1B
    2A
    2B

All will have rental offices on the ground floor.

    Good luck.

View Talay 1 A & B is the one near Foodmart. I looked in View 1 a couple of years ago but settled in View Tally 2B. Tally 1 was looking a bit run down then. Here in 2B the place is well looked after. Quite a few Studios in your price range. I pay around 10,000 per month covering water, power and Internet. I am here Long Term - I hope.

Yeah View Talay 1 is getting a bit old and has always been tatty from Day 1, right next to Foodmart though, View Talay 2 is cleaner and nicer, go for that if you can, plenty of empty units there, ie most of them so getting a rental wont be hard.

I had a friend live in VT 1 about 6 years ago & it looked tatty back then.

Are there any newer condo blocks going south towards Soi Chaiyapuk ?

I could just drive around but thought I might save time by posting on here, one cant beat local experience.

    Thank you Gentlemen.

Absolutely tonnes of them, many are above what you are willing to pay though, maybe check into a hotel or guesthouse for a couple of days first to have a quick look round, wont take long even if your walking, but I would give view talay 1 a miss though, overlooking Soi Theprasit on one side isn't the greatest view in the world, also its general tattieness is quite depressing I should imagine for people squeezed into those tiny little units.

if you havent been there for three years you sure will find a change. Last september I sold a bungalow in View Point and was surprised how dead the area is getting, thanks to the high value of the baht and the economic gloom of the EU

^7 posts in 2 years, do you think anybody gives a toss if you never post again? How helpful were those posts? 1. never answer a question again. 2. tried to pm you, yep both totally worthless posts, your never post again threats will make no difference to anybody here.

Yes View Talay would be the place, they will for sure have vacancies a plenty, make sure to get a nice high floor, and a real strong umbrella oleboy, the rain can be really really heavy around there good luck and hope you will enjoy your stay in Patters.

. . . . and also the most preferable rooms are the "Pattaya facing" as opposed to "Jomtien facing". Depending on the time of the year . . . the sun hits full blast all day on the "Jomtien facing" ones rendering the balcony good for nothing except for drying washing.

About 7 years ago I was at a friends condo in V. T 1 we were having a coffee on the balcony when swush right in front of us this body went flying down screaming. Yes it was a Female jumper. Her husband found a nice little Thai girl and the German woman could not handle it so she jumped, splat dead of course. My friend turned to me and said " Want another coffee mate"
