It might, I don't know but it doesn't seem to be down as far a phetchabun yet tho. Thank God for that as it sure hard on my emphazema, which is kinda like asthma only much worse.
I have really been doing great most of the year since I left CM.
There'll be plenty only too eager to blame the Thais for this but if you check out the NASA site you'll see that the majority of fires are in Lao and Burma.

These are seasonal realities.
I live in Mae Hong Son and it is definitely worse than last year.

^Have you grown extra arms and heads yet? If not then it is probably nothing like a nuclear winter.
^A good deal of the smoke is probably the Chinese burning their nuclear waste.
In fact, it is not only the smoke
There are fierce widstorms in China at this tiem of the year; these blow dust from the desert. It is probable that we get some of that too
If you look at any surface in CM, it is covered in dust, which is probably not only soot from the fires
