Yeah they are if you don't run into them at speed on an ATV. . There are a few other species out now and they are almost as big and brown. Body size of a large marble. Haven't seen any Golden Orb Web spiders. They tend to build their monster webs near rivers or creeks and a bit higher up but are huge nonetheless.

Dug up a few pics from the last time I met up with the local farmer guys at the outpost. Friendly guys and always invite me up to hang out. Place is off the grid and everything is solar powered. Takes about 25 minutes to get there once you are off the main road.

Yeah its pretty basic Like a cabin etc, but a very functional place. From what I was told, there is an older couple who live there full time and care for it. I saw them around the place as he showed me around. Its definitely an outstanding "Mancave".
