I thought this bathless or 'restroom' was for your daughter, not you.
Shouldn't you be thinking about painting it all pink after getting rid of all the sharp tile edges?
Speaking of bathmats, I saw this on tinternet a couple of Mercan holidays back...
If it freaks the daughter out too much, could always be used for Eddy's photo comp
pics or it never happened, Mendy.

Oh, I don't know... maybe because I'm not a spinster living in the 1950s?
You'd be surprised, once you escape the average crappy British hotel there's a world of walk in showers out there. Most of the planet don't enjoy clambering in and out of slippery baths every time they want to take a shower.
If I had a hand grenade I would happily throw it into the bathroom with Lek and the missus inside... although knowing my luck she would survive and turn it into yet another excuse for a week of funeral 'mourning'.
Too cool for bath mats too, apparently.
Is this an unexpected bid for Ed...heeey...Fonzarelli's coolness Crown?
Oh dear
I've been sat here trying to fathom where this simple tiling job went oh so wrong and with the aid of an old Dirty Dog thread on here I think I may have found the answer and a solution...
I'm guessing it's a good quality padlock and a few boxes full of these Grade C tiles (that DD mentions)that this guy you used to call your factotum, procured
Have a read of the below thread...it shows pics and goes into grave detail the effects of buying cheap tiles of differing lengths, widths and angles in Nakhon Bumfuck and shows how it doesn't require much skill with a bolster hammer and chisel to turn a village peasant's half arsed effort into a Michaelangelo-esque 'restroom' featured mozaic centrepiece.
Tiles and Tileing in Thailand
Hope that helps.

I am thinking you should have just let your daughter do the project management
I'll be back in Pooket next month and can send up a box or two of some fancy-schmancy red brick faced 40*40s if you fancy being tile-twin-buddies.
Say what you will, but it's not about the recommendations by a few about glass shower doors or glass inserts. You really don't care. I remember sometime back you said. "I am not spending 1 more satang on this place". I mean look at the tile match and look. Looks like a grade school tile collage which would have received a C-.
I think a C- is generous, unless it was the special needs kid.
The tile-matching equiv of matching Leo with Yaa Dong, when Singha and Carbonara Lay is available.
just need one of those fluffy u-shaped carpets around the karsey to mop up the wayward drips and its job well done!
Fuck me Stumps, I haven't been spoken to like that since I was 10 years old. Believe me, I feel suitable chastised.
The 'tiler' finally finished yesterday... his estimate of 2 days was 6 days short.
I showed him where he'd gone wrong, paid him and and politely explained that he will never work here again. The gardener and I will do the Buddha room project together, when next I have time.
But contrary to common opinion, I really do care about this and am pissed off it didn't go better.
A couple of weeks ago the daughter confided in me that she really wanted her own bathroom for a number of reasons, but without going into details, anything that allows another step of independence from her fucking (excuse my language) mother has to be good. That is something that I really do care about... passionately.
It took three days of driving around Korat just to find a place that sold tiles of the same size, let alone colour. And try asking for their stock of 17 year-old aged tiles for the perfect match. My Thai just isn't up to that.
Then the (proper) tiler that was lined up let me down at the last minute... so in steps this idiot that the gardener found.
I now had around a week (over Songkran) to get this done as my next opportunity for anything like this kind of thing will probably be September, or maybe not even then if work this year turns out as busy as expected.
So anyway, it wasn't a GREAT project and the bathroom won't be on Instagram any time soon. You can grade the tiling if you like, the current C- seems generous, but that is one thing I don't care about right now. To be honest, with the amount of shit I have to contend with at the moment, I just wish I had a life where perfectly matching tiles even registered on the scale.
The new white tiles will doubtless fade with age and blend in better, and with hindsight I should have maybe just gone a completely different colour for all the new tiling... but who was to know how much the tiles had changed colour over the years. And the option wasn't there to change them anyway... everywhere was shut over Songkran. Sometimes, 'good enough' has to be good enough. Yeah, there I go again, not caring.
Anyway, bollocks to it...the daughter gave it an A+ and I can leave for Norway in a couple of days happy in the knowledge that she has her own bathroom and has a little more independence from her mother. And doesn't have to wait until the Autumn for that to happen.
And I still don't like glass blocks (and this fucking idiot of a 'tiler' wouldn't have known how to install them anyway) and I still don't consider clambering in and out of a bath (even with a nice bath mat) very safe, or enjoyable.
So please... grade away!
Besides the mismatching white tiles on the bottom of the wall, that actually looks okay.
I'd recommend a nice rain shower, we got one in the villa en suite, but the fudging thing cannot be the rain shower only, it is either only the normal shower head, or the normal shower head + rain shower.
So have to either bend and pinch the normal shower head hose, or move it up to the height of the rain shower, so both of them are coming down from that height.
I can probably get an after market tap that has the 3 option when I can be bothered.
Your job looks more than adequate.
Don't mind the short old American, you know, well, how short and American he is.
