^ You have a good memory.

Anna ain't that old, but she is a bit moody. Not that I'm condoning sexual violence but it was never confirmed whether it was Max or Yogi who attacked Anna, or whether the motive was indeed sexual, and she's Ok with both of them now. It could have been just a normal dog squabble over food or something.

And you have been quite liberal with the facts... it was mainly circumstantial evidence, to be honest. The gardener has no alibi.

Your new timetable doesn't seem to include any morning runs? Don't you have to clip some tickets or something instead of dragging up old events from Isaan?

    Whatchu looking at?

This lovely girl has taken to waiting outside our back gate every day to join us on the morning dog walks. She looks well fed so must have a home, of sorts, otherwise...

She's good buddies with Lola's outside family and very sociable...

... and submissive, which helps. She's very similar to Maya in both looks and mannerisms. The lab or retriever is showing through.

^ I must have frequented the wrong arrondissements as I never witnessed any behaviour like that on my visits.

More's the pity... I do like a French accent on a woman.

But anyway, the dogs were well confused today... we had a surprise visitor and it wasn't even December 25th!

But don't worry, it was only Ootai.

Ootai is an Aussie mining engineer... and yet despite that the dogs appear to like him. Go figure?

And like his Doppelganger, Ootai came bearing gifts... two Singapore Airline spoons were gratefully received!

Our elderly neighbour obviously got a bit confused by everything as well... she gave him a high Wai when he departed.

Mind you, she is a bit simple.

It ain't as stiflingly hot and humid as it was back in April, but Korat seems to be staying awfully hot this year... or maybe I'm just less tolerant these days.

We're still getting mid to upper 30s every day.

Anna was going to wear her Harry Kane outfit yesterday but it was just too hot.

I think Lola would be more of a... I've forgotten his name now, he was a new player to me. That young guy with the ridiculous man bun who came on as sub.

Haven't noticed him being any worse than others for diving.

^ That's the one. I've never heard of him before but to be fair I don't pay close attention. I still find myself wondering why they don't play Gascoigne up front.

Anyway, Euro Madness has descended on Korat and to celebrate, Anna suggested a 'guess the Euro footballer' competition. Owed Greens or even actual Greens on offer, as usual.

As it's her thread, Anna went first. And as if anyone needed a clue... how do you say 'no' in German?

Next up was Tommy. A profile shot to give a clue... you don't see many conks like that the right side of the English Channel.

Tommy currently sports a nasty injury on his right knee... but this famous Euro footballer has a recent injury somewhere else on his body.

Nein, Jack Gwealish ist nicht richtig, but a Green for the Frenchman.

Or should it be a 'vert', which is also a nasty mushroom disease.

No need to cry Kylian, it's only a broken nose...

    Ja vohl, naturlich!

The unmistakable Harry Kane, with his sandy blonde hair, neatly trimmed beard and nummer 'Neun' shirt.

Here's hoping that he's match fit on Thursday and gets some better service.

It has to be said he wasn't looking too trim today in training, although it's only the Danes, of course...

^ Damn, but you're good Helge, not even your first language either!

If I could grøn you, I would.

But anyway, I happenstanced across a bit of dog role play today.

Yogi was obviously the pale, Anglo-saxon 'England', standing dominant over Lola's submissive, red-haired 'Denmark'.

This says 2-0 to England to me, and if I had an online account I'd have a wager as such.

^ We call these 'paving slabs', and I laid them myself, thanks Helge!

Kylian Mbappe's, AKA Tommy's, nose has healed up fine, but his knee wound was starting to be a worry. A nasty foul by Yogi was starting to worry me, and seeing as I am away with the daughter next week. leaving my digs in the care of the Thai retards, I thought I should get this sorted. The wound isn't too bad, but it's not closing up and Tommy loves to cool off in the deep green pond waters, and ask Ootai where that can lead... (the whinging Aussie!)

Yeah, after five days this just wasn't closing up and open wounds in the tropics are asking for infection, and I want to leave next week with no lingering worries.

    So off we went.

No one's ever accused Tommy of having any intelligence, but he is always cheerful and has a good heart.

That would be good enough for me in another life, if you know what I mean.

So anyway, we had my favourite vet... not the big boss guy who saved Moodeng but the lovely-eyed young female who always wears loose grey slacks with white Crocs... a strange combo that does it for me. I wish that she'd lose the face mask so I could check out the boat race properly one day, but maybe the allure of the unknown is better?

Tommy certainly returned after my lovely vet of choice's attentions with a big smile on his face, the lucky bugger!

I wonder if she does human hernias?

I think I may have one that is pretty low down.

A strange thing then... I was busting for a waz and had to head on to pick up the daughter from school, so asked one of the girls on reception if she could look after Tommy for 'song natthee' while I used their 'hong nahm' for a quick 'yeaow'?

No problem... I kind of expected her to come around the desk and sit with him for a couple of minutes while I relieved meself, but she just took hold of Tommy's lead through the gap in the reception window... fukk nose what would have happened if he'd decided to take after one of the many cats wandering around the place, but I guess this is Thailand and I shouldn't have been surprised.

Tommy's a great little dog, but he doesn't half milk it...

He even joined me for a coffee while waiting for school to finish up... quite the adventure for a country bumpkin mutt.

And anyway, tonight things got a bit weird.

The wife went out this afternoon to meet up with a few friends (retards) to which I have no objection, To be honest I positively encourage her to go out, and stay out for as long as she likes. Me and the daughter can have some quality time.

The wife called later to say she would be back to put on her black funeral garb... yet another of her acquaintances had croaked it, and there was a Temple to go to, drinks to be had.

Fukk me, everyone she meets seems to lose the will to live... and I'm no exception, sadly enough.

So, she turns up back at the house to put on her well-worn funeral kit, delivered by a ladyboy motorbike rider. I was quite happy with my Friday night Leo and Hong Thong with the dogs, but all of a sudden had to be social. The wife disappeared inside to slap on the war paint and climb into the latest funeral fashion while I was left to make small talk with her transport.

It turned out that 'Cindy' is 35 and speaks pretty good English. She knew Somerset and among other things, we discussed why there were no flights between Bristol and Heathrow, similar to Korat and Bangkok. In fact we had a good chat and I found myself hoping that the wife would get delayed in the war paint application. All the dogs seemed to like Cindy, and to be honest, I quite enjoyed his/her company. Yogi even let him/her playfully slap his head when he started growling at Tommy, which is unheard of. They say that dogs are a good judge or character.

Having this 'normal conversation' in Isaan all threw me a bit, and I must admit that I checked out the cleavage and there was no way it was socks stuffed down that bra, further confusing me. Maybe I'm just starved of good conversation up here?

Anyway, Cindy took the black, funeral-clad missus away, leaving me and the dogs a little bit bemused. She was good fun and I would have enjoyed a drink with her, sans wife, the dogs liked her and she was nice. OK, so she may have had slightly masculine legs and arms, slightly wide shoulders and pretty big feet, but she spoke English and had a GSOH, and bottom line, the dogs liked her. And those tits were big and real, I reckon.

I mean, I've been on the piss with Joe, but he's not poisoned me yet and I still haven't felt the need to off myself in his company.

I'd be checking your tea next time she offers you a cuppa.

Yogi's mutton dagger appears to be worryingly firm after his playfull encounter with the ladyman, Mendip. Does he need retraining?

So you met some sane and pleasant person in Khorat. Who wouldn't take pleasure in that ?

That you had some thoughts in the general sexual direction could suggest, that you you need a medical check-up soonest.

(not an unsual perversion for folks locked up or otherwise trapped in an unfriendly enviroment. Stockholm Syndrome and all that)

    ^ Wow...

On a Saturday morning I assumed that you'd be too busy to post... being elbows deep in flour, kneading up your latest batch of fresh gnocchi! But point taken, I reckon I must have had one too many Hong Thongs last night but thankfully the ladyman didn't return.

I saw my vet again today which was nice, and have to return tomorrow for Tommy to have the stitches. The most difficult thing at the moment is keeping him out of the pond because I know from experience that the pond water ain't great to get into open wounds.

This was the picture I meant to post above, instead of duplicating another that I've just noticed. The vet receptionist couldn't be bothered to actually walk around to the front to restrain Tommy while I took a waz, so just held his lead through the reception window... and would have no doubt dropped it immediately if anything happened.

Indeed. Very worrying. The cabin boy better watch out next trip. Seaman Staines coming aboard.
