    Isn't cheese just as bad?

^ Cheese is OK, I reckon. The problem is lactose intolerance which some dogs have, some don't.

All of our egg shells get ground up and recycled back into the chicken food for the calcium carbonate. Never tried feeding a dog a chicken shell but I will check out your recipe... but I'm a little bit bloated just now...

Moodeng & Lola are the type of dogs that when one sees them, one will say "aww, cute dog". As for Yogi, he has a face made for radio - but I'm sure that he has good qualities of his own.

Really Katie? I thought better of you.

But Yogi does have a lovely personality and he has a great sense of humour. He also enjoys long walks in the countryside... or at least what passes for countryside in the fly-tipped and litter strewn scrubland that dominates our area.

But anyway, I've been talking to PJG a lot about Moodeng's situation and yesterday I took up a couple of bottles of milk. I've gotta say she seemed really pleased to see me.

And Moodeng looked pretty happy as well!

She always squirms with pleasure when I visit. Moodeng, that is... I have that gift.

Moodeng now has a vet appointment every 10 days and her next is October 6th, next Friday. I think that this one is key and the X-ray will be a really good indicator if that broken femur is fusing. Sadly I may have to visit Bangkok next week due to some urgent business but, if that is unavoidable, will ensure that I return home by Friday for Moodeng's next milestone.

And just a small shout out to Yogi... sorry Katie.

It takes a seasoned fisherman to fish in the weather we've been having lately, but Yogi is always alongside his master... even when all the others have retreated back to shelter.

He sits with me, impassively watching the float. Well at least that's what I like to believe. He may just be staring into space thinking about his next shag?

Good company as he is, I wish he could sort out how to use tables and chairs.

    ^ One day mate!

You'll meet all seven simultaneously and Yogi will hang back and assess the situation.

I think that he's a good judge of character... he even let Ootai pat him on the head which is very unusual. He sees the person, not the nationality!

@mendy - I did say that Yogi has good qualities of his own. He has proven himself to be a loyal companion. He stayed with you when all your other dogs have forsaken you (for this day, anyway).

All creatures have their beauty (I guess), whether inside or out.

As much as the dog annoys me it is quite comforting having a pet that follows you everywhere.

^ They reckon that Napoleon was between 5' 2" and 5' 7", which may be on the Lulu side these days but was fairly normal back in the 1800s.

Napoleon's personal bodyguard was made up of big guys which made him appear disproportionately small. This is a bit like Ben Duckett who is in fact 5' 7" but looks so small because he often stands next to Zak Crawley.

For comparison, Hitler was 5' 9" and Putin is 5' 7".

^^ I don't get the impression that Armstrong is in the same league as some of the worlds worst dictators and tyrants.

Must admit, I would have bet good money on Zelensky being taller than Duckett.

I've just been looking at the school Duckett went to (Stowe School).

    It doesn't disappoint.

You don't need height with schooling like that.

Lionel Messi is 5'6 or 5'7, I think. His compatriot Julian Alvarez seems to be petite too. But then, they have the advantage of dribbling well bcos of low center of gravity.

Reminds me of the best football/ soccer player in my year/ batch in high school - Jojo A. He was nothing great to look at but on the football field he was amazing (in our eyes - his batchmates). During that time, he was maybe 5'3 or 5'4. I haven't seen him since high school days, so I don't know if he grew taller (but I doubt if he grew more significantly).

But enough about height. How are Moodeng, Lola, Yogi, Anna, Maya and the gang?

What a day for Armstrong, gone from being lumped in with dictators to being compared to Messi on the pitch.

^ooh, it has Vanessa Kirby as lead actress. I liked her in The Crown, S1 & S2 (as Princess Margaret). Joaquin Phoenix is a good actor too.

@malmomike - well, Armstrong plays football, right? Who knows, maybe he's TD's version of Messi.

I've seen him play, and the term twinkle-toes does come to mind.
