Victory Pk Golf Course in Nong Khai in super condition at this time.Only hassle is that there are approx 120 Koreans and Japanese golfers staying and playing at the course. Green and Caddy Fees 950 baht at this time. If you plan to play get there for a 6 45am start which will assist you getting through your round without holdups.

^That's both you and Loy Toy that have asked him now Nige, with no response. I'd like to see some too, never played up in Udon and it would be interesting to see what the courses are like. Come on Tigger, lift your game!.

So ok, nobody will see these but here's a few pics of Eastern Star in Pattaya (well Ban Chang would be a more accurate description) taken early one morning last week.

Not much better site to a golfer than this. Wondering if it'll be a good round or total disaster is the only worry. But honestly, who cares when the next few hours will be spent on a nice golf course.

These condo blocks are on the 2nd fairway, there's about 6 of them and apparently they're 2-3 bedroom and quite large. If I ever get the shits with Pattaya and a sea-view condo this would be a likely bug-out location. Sitting on the balcony with a morning coffee watching how other people play that hole - which is no snack - would be nice.

Crappy photo, my playing partner has an iphone . A decent pitch from there and I got up and down for par.

And a couple of random shots. The course is playing really well after the rain, I'm going back there soon

    Nice.

Here's one of my 'local' course, CM Highlands.

If you look closely you can see the ball shanking OB right

^The dreaded shank with a driver!.

Nice hole, hit a draw on that and the ball would run downhill for ever. Or shank it OB and hit 3 off the tee!.

    It is and does.

Contrasts nicely with the uphill 12th before it (to the left of pic) which is an absolute c*** of a thing and was probably designed by Satan himself whilst in a foul mood.

^Or Pete Dye. I've never played one of his courses but having watched world top-10 Pros walk off in straight jackets, don't want to either

I have never been on a course in Thailand so I have no idea

Closest I have been is to a driving range in Cha am with Chas , but there was a rather nice cutie smacking balls close to us , so I couldn't really concentrate
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

My sincere apologies guys regarding the absence of photos of the golf courses in our area. As I am OS for the next 10 weeks you will have to hold your breath just a touch longer.Upon my return I promise I will get photos of all our courses here and in KK for your perusal. Re Singha in Khon Kaen though you can go to their website to check these out.
In Udon Thani we do not have an 18 hole course as the closest is Victory Pk in Nong Khai. That course however is fabulous and photos eventually of this will show this. Our Udon Courses are Wing 23 a 9 hole course located on the Airforce/Airport grounds. This is a basic course, greens poor, fairways ok,bunkers substandard. However for a golfer looking for a basic course at an inexpensive rate this is ok.
Army Course is another 9 hole course with I recall about 5 par 3 holes. They have done a lot of work on the course to their credit and is worth trying out. Again the price is very affordable. The 18k ie Udon Course is badly in need of repair and I would not recommend you trying this course. The last course is Srithani Forest the best of the 9 hole courses in Udon. They are doing their best to improve the greens and general areas as well as provide 2 Sports Days ie Monday and Wednesdays. It is the most difficult of Udon's 9 hole courses and worth trying out.I can not say the courses are incredibly picturesque but I will as I said at the start get photos upon my return.

Re Udon Thani Golf Courses photos.
After seeing the photos you guys have posted I assure you that those I put of the Udon Courses will pale in comparison. The only legit course is Victory Pk in Nong Khai,Singha Pk,Dancoon and Ubolrat Dam. Aside from those mentioned the Agriculture Course 9 hole course located close to Singha is worth a round or two. If you got to the websites of these courses there are photos that will provide a better indication of their quality.
