Thanks ltnt for pics, I have some beauties like this too when I went up in the country by our place to see BIL's family. I cant wait to get back and do some riding on Moto and picture taking. I will dig up a few and add to your thread if you don't mind.

Country trekking is awesome. Every person I met near us has been simply easy going to be around.

Tried greening you. I guess I do not green enough folks, never used that function much.

Few I thought might be of interest to some

Stopped by in laws friends house. Out back he has the old school rice husking separater. I want to see it run when in season. They said this has been in their family for nearly 3 generations. I plan on spending some days up there learning the process.

We left there and headed down the road and stopped in at a cousins house

They Have a thriving business of making Cab Moo. I sat with them and enjoyed watching the process and deep fried a batch.

Further down the road, stopped off to check out some fishing locals.

Watch daring Thais stand in fast moving currents tossing little nets in to catch fish.

There is so much to do in the country. Its endless. All of this was 30 minutes from my house just outside Lampang. This sure beats sitting in a boardroom any day.

Great Thread Idea ltnt. Keep the pics coming.

Guess I don't need to give permission JPPR I kinda thought at first it would be great to start a thread where folks could post their impressions of Thialand through their cameras and narrations. so, you're just the first of many I hope that feel the urge to post here.

Original title was going to be "A day in the life in Thailand." Terry 57 was the reason for this thread as I have said. He saw the De-Construction of our old Thai house and mentioned his like of it...so that got me thinking perhaps many ex-pats feel the same sort of affection for the old aspect of Thai life.

I certainly hope more of Teak Doors subscriber's feel free to post their photos here and continue the journey.

Thanks all for the kind comments. No greens required your feed back is plenty.

Well deserved, thanks for the correction Iceman123...please post the video via youtube for everyone to appreciate what a truly timeless piece of music it is. Or, if you're really a fan post Amphetamine Annie? Another classic of Canned Heat, who lived off San Pablo Blvd...

I really like the way you frame your pics, you think about it before punching the button.

Great photo Ops up your way.

Far North Thailand along the river. Simply brilliant.

Its what Thailand is all about EH and a part that many do not get to see.

    Silly them.

Thanks man...wish that song played everytime the thread was opened and then as you went along the posts the others would chime in. That would be the topper.

I like the part where he says..."might even leave the USA..."

Great thread Itnt and I do like the pics of the north. They are all part of what I like about Thailand and experiencing sights you could never see anywhere else. Part of the Thai mystique, and if you do not appreciate it, you really do not understand why so many of us live here.

I would hope to add some pics in the future and it would be nice if more join in as well.

The really great thing about these threads is that it portrays how life can be in Thailand for the Expat who does it correctly.

So many pathetic arsed threads portraying Thais as killers and the country being fuked.

Most of the problems arise in tourist ghettos of Pattaya and Phuket .

Get up North and see the real Thailand.

All well said Terry and Rick. There are so many things to go off and see as what ltnt posted. Its an opportunity to take up new hobbies. Its always disappointing when posters trash Thais and Thailand and then you find out they live/lived in Phuket and Pattaya and have done nothing but drink and go rounds with bar girls. That has a short life cycle and has little substance.

I am glad I lived around a bit. I find the North an excellent place to call home. I can always go visit the beachy resorts places.

    Just to add to That,

When posters trash Thailand and its people and then one finds out they live in Pattaya or Soi 10 Sukumvit its really good for a laugh innit.
