    Looking to buy a canoe

I looking for a store/shop that sells canoes or kayaks in the Ubon area or even Thai small river boats.

Been looking when we go to town, but only seen the paddle type things, not ideal for a few days on a river.

    Any help appreciate. Jim

    G'day Jim,

Is this something that you are looking for?

FEELFREE KAYAK ::: THE BEST FEELING ON WATER

I used to have the Tri-Yak model, it was OK if you wanted something to paddle around with your family on board (helping to paddle) but a bit big and cumbersome on your own.

I believe that they maybe a NZ company but they are made in Thailand.

btw, has the rain eased up in Ubon yet? I might wait a while before I visit brother Carl again.

Any shop that sells the big blue plastic water tanks usually also sells plastic boats modeled on the traditional thai punt.

palexxx, rain over I hope, getting some rubber now, but price has fallen again, it's the yanks causing prices to fall by causing uncertainty.

Necron, thanks for that will have a look, but think if they are like the little wood ones out here, not going to carry people and camping gear, food water for a few days. Jim

Thanks for that, they look to be OK for the job.
Now just have to find the nearest retailer, tried e mailing them, but my net and computer are so crap that it just says your source is not valid, what ever that means.

Will get the wife to give them a call later.
    Thanks again. Jim

KW like everything, when you don't need something they are everywhere, for sale cheap. When you want something they are no where to be seen or cost an arm and a leg.

Sometimes I have to wonder at how Thais do business, wife phoned the plastic boat company. No we don't have boats like that, web page is on the screen quote the number, no don't have them.

Next do you have a shop in Ubon, no only in BKK, hang up.

Few minutes later company phones back, yes we do have canoes and kayaks, but no stores in Ubon, but one in Udon Tharni. No good to far, oh but you can order one in Ubon from another store.
    Will text the address. Jim

The website says "order and pickup in 5 to 10 days"
So I guess they dont have inventory and make to order.
So when you ask do you have one, they say "no".....
And clueless 300 baht a day girl neglects to point out that the can make one..

There's a boat place in Ubon on the Yasothon Road up from the clocktower opposite the psychiatric hospital. Also, I've seen some on the ring road near the ring road/Yasothon Road lights on the Ban Tabor side. I'm not sure if the boats are what you're looking for.

Thanks again, found the shop, didn't have the one I wanted, but can order one. He didn't have a full list of boats or prices, but is getting one sent up.
Back in town 23rd to pick someone up from the airport, so will go look then. Jim
