Its mad that place but you got these geezers that have learned to cope with it and have this inate ability to take your mind off the enormity. I spent a good day and a half with Pooly. The fokker had me walking up and down stairs all over the gaff. I was sweating like a pig but we still made it up to the top of that Bayoke Tower where he enjoyed a fokking Mai Tai. The guy is all class and an utter gentleman. I want to wax lyrical about his bar called "Afterwork" coz it is a bar the same as any in Bangers but for the fact that the place exudes class. Pooly was almost theatrical in the way he fauned over the women and I hope to post more about that night. hehehe. I got pics too.
On the other hand meeting KK was the biggest trip for me yet and I got to say that he is on my 'The worlds bestest geeezer Ever Yet Ever, In the World so far Yet Ever Competition'.

attaboy is showing a pic of a yellow fin (might be blue fin) tuna is my best guess and a really nice one at that. The largest I ever caught in Hawaii was a 42 pounder on 25lb test line on an open faced reel.
It looks to be a skiff boat and a nice yellowfin tuna. I nicked the pic off the internet. Ive gone out a few times in Baja Mexico and San Diego. Which island were you fishing off of while in Hawaii?
Did most of my fishing off Oahu about 20-30 miles out trolling. That day we were fishing next to one of the buoys set way out and were jigging for 10-15 pounders when this school of tuna rolled by sunning themselves. Lots of tiger shark out there and you always loose a bit to them. Have also fished on the Big Island on Hilo side. Love to fish.
