    Hi Folks

    Hi
I am planning on visiting Bangkok early next year on the way from UK to Melbourne, Going to see a travel agent next week to sort it all out.
It feels a bit strange as I am going to be on my own (Mrs CBG doen't do long flights!!), but I am sure I'll have some fun.

Now I've broken my duck, I may pop up all over this excellent forum - please be gentle with me.

    Welcome CBG.

How long do you plan staying in Bangkok for?

    Hello cbgman.

If you could be somebody else for a day, who would you be and why?

    Frank,
My initial reaction felt a bit corny in that I am quite OK being me, and there's not really anyone I hanker after being. If I had to choose, then I guess it would be someone like Gary Davis, Son House or Robert Johnson. Then when I went back to being me, I MIGHT just be able to remember how to play guitar like they did. That's about the only way I could get around loving to play guitar but having zero talent.

    How about you?

I should have expected it to bounce back. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart would be fun.

Always wondered what it would feel like to have perfect pitch, a photographic memory and an incredible sense of melody and harmonies. I suspect it would probably feel completely normal and mundane, like brushing your teeth or mowing the lawn.

Dunno about that. Wolfie was SUCH a talent that even he must have clocked that there was something unusual going on.
