One of me friends has told me about this board, many familiar names here, frind and foe...

Don't expect too much input from me, at least not in the building section, though as an old squatter and cheapskate I might have a few tips to add on how to cut corners.

Having browsed a bit, this forum is a little to lenient IMHO. People who aren't here to be able to defend themselves, should not be attacked in the way it's done here.

I haven't come across any building or house repair threads yet (my speciality=why buy materials when you can find stuff in the streets?), been too busy laughing my head off in all the TV-mudslinging.

It's funny you mention this, I do own some condo units in bkk. There are a lot of neat little tricks how to make things look broken after short use, blame it on the tenants and con the suckers for the deposit, specially if you have a Thai police drinking buddy!

This could be of interest to some house builders and potential landlords.

'nam vet paedos are welcome as well, but no discount for them.

I heard it is getting the bulk of its books delivered from India?
I am planning to flood Chiang Mai with extremely cheap second hand books from all over the world. Are you in on the deal, Butterfly? There's a night at Cascade free of charge at stake.
