Smile Looking to relocate to Thailand.

Hi my name is Bugsy and I am looking to relocate from Brisbane to Thailand soon. I am currently finalizing all my business interests in Oz and looking forward to a simpler more attractive lifestyle.
I do however require some information regarding banking as I will need to open up an account in Thailand. Could you please help me in recomending a bank that is foreigner friendly. Am I able to bring a bank draft over to open the account?
    Your replies are welcomed.
    Regards Bugsy

Plenty of Aussies here to help out mate. I've never had any problems with Siam Commercial Bank (knock on wood and all that).

Some banks are particular about the correct visas for foreigners opening bank accounts. Are you on a work visa or retirement visa ?
(At least they were the rules two years ago !!)

    JoGeAr,
    Thanks mate,
I think I will go over initially on a tourist visa, then if perhaps I seek some form of residual income change over then but I dont see that happening in the near future.
    Regards Bugsy
