Bring my boys' bike back!'
A DAD-OF-THREE has appealed for the return of a quad bike used by his autistic son, after it was stolen from their shed during the night.
Paul Harmon, of Windsor Grove, Runcorn, woke up on Friday morning to discover the sprayed-silver 50cc Starway bike had been taken by thieves.
Paul, 39, said: "It must have happened during the night on Thursday.
"I got up in the morning and the shed door was open.
"They'd cut the fence at the back and then got away through the Red Admiral pub car park. I've had to screw both fence doors.
"It looks like they came especially for the bike."
His three kids - eldest son Joseph, 15, who suffers from autism, Paul, seven, and daughter Erin, four, shared the bike, which cost just under £1,000.
"Obviously, my kids are very upset," added Paul. "It was a birthday present last August. They used it every other weekend."
Runcorn neighbourhood policing inspector Mike Naughton confirmed Cheshire Police had been made aware of the theft and said patrols had been notified to be on the lookout for the bike.
Anybody with any information about the bike's whereabouts, or think they have seen people riding it, should contact the neighbourhood policing unit on 0845 4586381.
