Another TD newbie

Hello all, cmhappy here. Just registered today Jan 9.

I'm in Chiang Mai, on a retirement visa, yup one of those, older than dirt! Have been in CM for 6 or 7 years, originally from USA.

Lurked about once or twice before registering.

Used to be very acive on "the other forum site" but got really tired of the unquestionable geshtopo moderation tactics there.

Thought I should join before I lost my temper with them and be banned.

Welcome to TD. Another Yank should help even things up a bit. Doubt you'll get banned here. A little jail time is possible but unlike the other site, TD does not impose Christian Science Reading Room rules.

Welcome, you won't be banned here. The lobotomy DD gives you upon joining TD is a little troublesome, but the scars heal quick.
