Hello all.
I'm new to the forum but a good friend from Rayong said that this was a most useful place to share info and gain some wisdom from the experience of long timers in the land of smiles. I've been in Kuwait now for 3 years trying to make up for the lack of salary working in the teaching world of Thailand. I thoroughly enjoyed working in Bangkok and in Naklua but the salaries of Thailand just don't give teachers what they need if they marry and then start making plans for a land purchase and building. Kuwait is another story - hard work, have met some magnificent people, and have been paid a fair wage. Since I left Thailand (3 years this March) I have been able to purchase 3 rai 1 ngang (please excuse my spelling if I missed that) river front on a paved road in PhiMai, 5 minutes from the PhiMai Inn. The land cost us 600,000 baht and is already cleared but will need some serious landfill being on the river. I still have the apartment on Soi 1, Changfong House, and figure the rent is less than a storage house and was home for 5 years while living in Thailand. As my wife and I work on the home building planning and task I will post what I learn and experience and will certainly try to learn as much as I can from the members of this forum. I leave it at that and write more when I have something worthwhile to post. Thanks for your time.
