    Wink Hello all and sundry

Hello guys new here so a big hello to all . Been coming to thailand for 14 years now (I'm 36) been married ten years. My wife is from bangkok which I really can't handle the humidity ! I want to purchase a decent sized plot of land 2-5 rai somewhere outside of bkk .... could be anywhere from
2-4 hour drive maybe longer for the right peice : I'm not looking to build right away as I have a fair few years of work left and I have already owned a holiday home in Thailand (pain in the arse to fix up every year) ideally it wouldn't need building up has electric and water nearby and close enough to say a 7/11 ? Nice mountain views would be great, full chanote .... my budget is around 1 million baht do any of you guys have a place or an area you could recommend I look at ?
    Thanks guys

    Welcome.

I would probably go out Ratchaburi/Kanchanaburi area.

One member built a nice bungalow for his mistress that he got up the duff for about 1m baht I think.

    Hold on a minute.

Is there any areas you think I should take a look at in kanchanaburi?

Yeah that's a beautiful area . I really like an area in phitsanoluk but it's a little too far from bkk . While we are out of the country my wife's sister will be keeping an eye on it for us so has to be not too far from bkk or I would certainly go further north .

Yeah. Phetchabun has it's moments, yet Loei and Nan can be quite enthralling and dramatic as mountain provinces go.

A note of interest to the OP.
He did mention that the missus is from BKK, yet not a native???
If her family and extensions are from upcountry somewhere, that could possibly be a starting point as applying to contacts and those in the know about available property.

Yep but was trying to stay within 4hr limit. Actually, I drove from bankok to petchabun in 3 hrs once.

Sure op knows this but anywhere within 4 hrs of bangkok you will be paying premium prices for land.
