It is a tool to focus attention on those who have posted most to this forum. It is very useful and is the basis for my block list. My forum is lovely because at least six of the "big cheeses" here have been banned by me and I don't have to read their alcohol fuelled rantings.

You would do well to emulate me and the forum will be a nice place for you if you do.

It's part of the "reputation" system. A 'green' is positive, a red is negative. Greens received add points to your reputation total, reds subtract points.

1 gold star is worth 10,000 points.
A yellow blob is worth less - about 2000? Maybe less.
A light green blob is worth about 200 or 250 points
A dark green blob is worth about 100 points I think.

The above are mostly estimates, but using those estimates I'd say you have about 1000 repo points.

If you are asking me ... no relation that I know of.

I chose my nick a few years back based on my name and my age.

David, like John, Mark, Peter etc are fairly common names.

There was quite a lengthy debate on the subject a few months ago when it was introduced. The general consensus was that they where named cabbages.

There was a cabbage boycott and many highly cabbaged members turned of their repo in protest, so in reality the leader board is not a true indication of the cabbaged.

With the exception of Dillinger, who would be/is at #2, it's about the same as before a few posters turned off their crap.

If you are a coherent and logical poster, you will be rewarded with green repo.
If lowlife scum like Earl and Stroller send you red repo, it will have no effect on your score.
Don't sweat it too much, it's not really important anyway.

I was just looking in the wrong area.

But, one thing not explained.

First you get dark greens, then light greens, then yellows.

Do I assume when you get heaps of yellows, they tally up to a star and the process starts again?

Not life and death, just trying to understand.

Once you have enough green and yellow blobs, they become what is affectionately known as a cabbage, and your green and yellow repo blobs start accumulating again.

Yes. After you get a gold star, the yellow blobs and most of the green blobs disappear. Then you increase green and yellow blobs again. Pretty simple actually.
