Hi folks. I had numerous vacations to Thailand during the nineties, and have been an expat for most of the time since the turn of the century. Been a member of many forums most of which are defunct, and some of late ones I dislike because they are there to promote shoddy businesses, like Pattaya Addicts, or Secrets. Got a problem with Thaivisa as well, the moderators of this forum make Stalin's censorship look pale in comparison. I don't think the people Thai are some kind of deity, that I am privileged to pay for them, and have to praise them.

How long would I last here?

Have a look through a few threads and you'll get a feel for the general ambience.

Safe to say, you won't get your opinions moderated/censored here. Unless you break some Thai law ie lese majeste, you're pretty much free to say whatever you want.

I'd say the "spirit" is pretty much no-holds barred. If you're an absolute twat you'll be told you're an absolute twat, but you won't be banned for it. You'll just be free to make an absolute twat of yourself for everyones amusement.

Pattaya Addicts, or Secrets

I consider myself a reasonable understanding member here and can put up with other's diatribes as other's have put up with mine.

I have also tried to contribute on the Pattaya forums as well as a few other Thai based forums and there always seems to be a little clique of active posters that prefer to have banter between themselves with others posting about the bar girls they shagged the night before.

I feel there are no such clique groups here and the interesting content is far more wide spread regarding content and better then most other forums.
