Probably a bit weak of me going in with the low figure after thinking about it. Just wanted to make an offer too reasonable to refuse so I don't have to fight and deal with this shit. Naive of me to think they still wouldn't haggle.

well you already agreed on 5600bht so changing now will make you untrustworthy.. whats to stop you from upping it every time? it might just be easier to make you dissapear...
^ Yep. Not worried about disappearing but yeah I put the number out there can't really ask for more now can I. Pretty sure the old man was expecting something like this, and probably thinks himself lucky the little boy smashed into a farang.
By threatening him with your video footage in order to get cash out of him, for whatever reason, is committing blackmail isn't it?
Ask him if he has any daughters to trade.
fuck that shit, show the video to his insurance company
don't talk to them over 6,000 THB it's a waste of time, should have asked for more when you had a chance, you fucked up, too late now
The repair centre with the assistance of my insurance company loaned I, a car until the work is completed.
Whatever. I'm wrong by doing this? Blackmail infers an air of being sinister, which is not the case here.Originally Posted by madjbs

^ No TM, read the thread. The insurance company doesn't do courtesy cars. Not standard practice in Thailand any more. How long ago was your claim TM? This is a fairly recent development in the insurance world apparently. Missus went right into it when I told her to change to insurance with proper coverage. Unless it's a write off, no courtesy car. Standard in 2011.
Yes, I have read the thread. Thus the reply.
Two months ago, I sent my car in for repairs to the front bumper, fit a new windscreen and sort out the scrape on the rear bumper.
The repair centre quoted 5 days to repair.
The insurance company then on my behalf asked the centre to provide a car during this time.
The loan car was a Chevy Zafira.
The other time was 4 years ago. That was a Honda Accord.
jesus, my car was in the shop for 3 weeks, they didn't give me anything
fuckers,
^^ Who are you with TM? I want to change to them then. I got LMG. Supposedly 'premium' insurance.
Why not arrange to meet the son/dad combo at a decent car-hire place of neutral choosing. Pick a motor out for a week and let them settle the bill.
