I am looking at the Nissan March, but like the new Honda Brio as well. Anyone seen or know first hand how these two cars match up?

If you ever need to sell, the Nissan will attract buyers like a turd on a stick.
The Honda will be easy to shift.
I saw the Brio at Central Plaza in KK on some promotion day and it looked really tidy.
To find the real value in both these cars you need to buy the manual gearbox, which in my case means teaching the bint drive.
The auto add like 20% to the price of the vehicle, bollocks really.
I have only read one report but it said the Brio was much better than the March
Looking at the base model in both and like the Honda styling better and it has more technology than the March. Both are reasonalbe people movers, but will need to drive both before making a final decision.
I spoke to one of the salespeople at Udon Honda and she said they would not see any Honda Brio's until about August. She stated the earthquake had affected production, which I already knew, but I am wondering how much of this is truth and how much is hype.
Has anyone seen a Honda Brio in a showroom in your town? Since they are manufactured in Thailand, I am just wondering how many are now available and when we all will see them in most showrooms. I am willing to travel a bit to purchase one and am curious to really know the story on availability. I went through this when I bought my Mini Cooper back in 2005 and they were saying a 6 month wait, but it wound up being only two after placing an order.
I got my wife on my case about one of these Hondaaaaaaaaaaa's showing me all the photo's.
I think better the Hondaaaaaaaa Jazz for resale value
I'm looking the ford Focus 2 ltr Ghia fuking shifts
Honda brio club Thailand
this thai site has info, news and rumours about sales, ordering and spec. of the brio.
Thanks taxexile, I am thinking more about taking a trip to Bangkok the end of June to see if I can purchase a Brio and bypass the Udon dealership. I have never dealt with them other than looking at some other models and do not know if they play games since they think they are the only game around. I would think my chances would be better down in Bangkok. Anyone have the addresses of the Honda dealers that they might recommend?
That Honda sure looks good don't it!
Very impressive fuel economy figures too! 5Liters/100kms(47mpg). Which is the same as my big motorcycle.
And 90 hp which should make it fairly peppy too I imagine.
They'll be selling these like hotcakes and somtam.

exactly the same as a bmw 520D se, so really not that impressive considering the small engine, 1200cc.56.7 mpg for imperial gallons
If it's the same CVT system as on the older Jazz/City models, then it's much better than a manual.Originally Posted by Spin

Spot the difference.
Think the designers need to work on something new?
Back to the OP.
My money's on the Honda BTW.
Black diamonds? I shit 'em.
Off topic but the company just purchased a new Toyota Vios to ship me and another farang employee back and forward from Pattaya and I am quite impressed with it.
220 baht there and back on LPG gas is great value, although the gas tank consumes the boot area but at around 500,000.00 Baht on the road not too bad at all.
Bogon, not much difference since car manufacturers usually copy each other when something works. Hatchbacks give you the most room on the smallest platform which translates to lower cost and better profit margins. I do like hatchbacks and currently own a Mini Cooper.
My money will probably go toward the Brio since they have a better looking product than the March and I like the Honda technology better than Nissan's. Wider stance, more horsepower and just a better product in my opinion.
The prototype was much better lookingOriginally Posted by Bogon
They should have stuck with this
And expect it to get better soonOriginally Posted by Loy Toy
The version made in China has the 117 bhp 4ZR-FE engine
Seeing as how the Honda City is already 120bhp I expect Thailand models will change soon.
Before I realized it I was cruising at 160 kph on the Bangna trad elevated tollway and it still had some acceleration grunt. Handling is still an issue at high speeds but a very good product up there with Honda's quality.Originally Posted by Thetyim
Got myself a mid-range Vios with LPG.Originally Posted by Loy Toy
514k will get you the base model (no alloys, no indicators on the wing mirrors and 14" wheels).
You're looking at just over 600k for the alloys, indicatores and 15"ers.
LPG is cool though. Paid near on 40k to get fitted and it paid for itself with 8 months.
My tank holds 55 litres and doesn't take up too much boot space.
Sorry to veer off topic.
Oh. Thanks for the reply BTW rickschoppers.
Anyone got a pricelist for the Brio?
Here's the Vios one anyways.

I was shocked with regard to the Vios performance (using LPG) and how cheap it is.Originally Posted by Bogon
It is of my opinion that LPG is the way to go although my wife is concerned about the safety aspect and if I receive a shunt in the rear.
Honda Brio Price Range: Sales Price (Baht) : 399,900~508,500
