Have a look at how much (other than your own elbows) you can see in the mirrors... these standard mirrors on the Kawa ER 6n are awful and that would be the first thing i would replace.

My mate uses them in his track riding school, replacing his GSXR 750's.
While I havn't been down there for a while he says they are doing a great job, the customers like them, but I know they have been tightened up quite a bit from standard.

Can rent em out in Pattaya for 500b a day.

    Not a bad test drive.

I'd take one for a day, then the ninja the next. Just to feel how different it is fared.

Can't believe how it's gone from looking so unbelievably hideous, to so attractive. It's like I've drunk 10 pints or something.

I'm gonna get one when I move outta BKK for slamming around those Northern hills.

Looking at one in BKK, Sept 09 (same as 2011's) black, abs with a yoshi pipe 2975 k's off a Thai site 230k. But is that really 2975 k's???

There is a farang in pattaya with one non abs 3000k's for 180k.

Or I could go down the dealer, buy one and ride it out the showroom and up the hills today.

    Decisions...

Whats available at 245k with a legit green book?

That's the thing, there isn't. Not for that price. Some old GSX's etc, I don't want a race rep, I need something I can get around town on, take the boy to school and get out on a nice road for a ride. If I need parts I just go to the dealer, A full set of plastics and tank is B 13000...

If I could ride a bike on the motorways/ Tollways here I would buy one of those Kawasaki ER-6n tomorrow.

A real pain in the arse driving on the Bangna Trad even in a car and Deathstardan bent his front wheel hitting a pothole on the way back from Pattaya to Bangkok last weekend.

Black. 2010 the only other option is Kawa green/black. The orange has been dropped. I did see one orange faded from the sunshine, maybe no good but that was kind of nice as well.

Price is on the road with 3 class insurance. When I asked what it covered she said if an accident is my fault I pay if not I am covered.

    So I would pay then

    1st class about 17k a year.

No freebies Not even a tshirt or something...

Yes well, I have been having fun, took a spin up Doi Inthanon today. It's a
great road up, not too tight but nice flowing road. It was a 200 k round trip from CM and too hot really getting out there, I am feeling a bit cooked tonight from it but worth the run, nice and cool up there!

Really didn't want to leave the coolness and winding roads, starting to get to know the bike and got into it, no complaints on the handling and performance.

Stopped to buy some lynchees on the way home.

Well I guess I will be making this thread my own for now....

    Thoughts on the bike:

I'm going to change the bars for some pro taper style, the stock ones look a bit lame and I always have my hands half on the bar ends so will get some slightly wider but put shorter bar ends in which will make them about the same width, just the grips will be further out. I wouldn't mind having them slightly lower as well which is how they come. I was a bit disapointed to see that the two levers have different reach adjustment dials, obviously they come from the parts bin but would look a lot better if they were the same style. I saw a Ninja with some nice aftermarket levers on, looked cool.

The forks are pretty low tech, I don't know how they are inside but there is no adjustments. there are some USD ones that bolt right on along with the triple clamps (I think from a Versys?) if you were so inclined and there is a nice Ohlins shock available at the dealer for a nice price also. I'm too old to push the limits of the bike so doubt I will be inclined to hot it up in that respect, I had a ball as just as it is.

The chain is pretty lame, non o ring DID, I may change it for a better quality one when it is due.

The pod gauges I'm not so keen on, it would have looked much nicer if they were a bit more integrated with the headlamp assembly and they should have stuck with the analogue tach and digital speed readout like the previous model.

Found myself dreaming of that Yoshimura pipe on the way home but it sticks out a bit further than other brands and I would like to know if it would not be protected in a spill. Foot pegs will be a lot cheaper than one of those but they look the business in carbon.

So another good day, I'm just picking some day rides out of CM at the moment, Doi Suthep for the run in yesterday, 70k's then Samoeng loop, 100k's and Doi Inthanon today, 200k's. All great roads.

    Need to find a wingman!

Bought a nice paddock stand for her and treated her to her first bath and chain lube when I got home. I was a bit heat stroked, nothing could quench my thirst so I had to resort to the old remedy, beer

    Nice one mate.

A lad on TV called Tony, think his nik is Bigbikebkk or something, has a lot of threads and info and stuff on mods etc for his ninja.

Great to see the pics. It's the colour I like too, they've introduced the silver bottom and rear spring on the black ninja which doesn't look as nice. I'd personally invest 200b on red rim tape too. Just to bring out the rear spring.

Next time I'm up in CM we'll have to go for a burn.
