    2001 R1 for sale - Surin - 250,000 Baht

2001 R1 for sale. Purchased from 59bike.com in Bangkok less than a year ago. I paid 250,000 for it. Since then I have put about 100,000 into it. Its got new tires, chain/sprockets, Brake Rotors and pads, new headlights, turn signals, I just rebuilt and synchronized the carbs last week. All the parts I ordered from the USA personally. The bike is perfect. I have used all OEM Parts for the repairs and it has ZERO high performance/aftermarket parts on it. I use this bike as my daily driver, and I drive it everyday 30 km to the gym.

I don't think you can find a better bike, for the same price.

Recycled green book, however if your in issan or the province, you don't have to worry about anything.

Nice. But a 1 litre is a bit too much for my needs

Had an R6 for 2 years up your way before. Perfect.

Good luck with it. Make sure to hit up every Thai classifieds site you can find. Might be a bit difficult at 250k, even with the 100k upgrades, as you see R1s all over them for 150-200k for that age. And especially with a gray book.

Personally, I'd keep it unless prepared to take a hit off it.

Thats true, but, when I was looking at buying a bike here, I looked EVERYWHERE. Its true that you can find R1's for 150-200, but I doubt they will be in good condition. I looked for months and this was the one I found.

I have to sell it, as im moving back to the States, and I really want to use the cash from the bike to buy another bike in the states.

Good eye. Its techserfu from Japan. Its extremely mild and that's the only reason that I haven't replaced it. Was on the bike when I got it.

Ive been in and out of thailand for about 4 years now, and I am bored of the place. Im 26, and all of the stuff that I like to do, Riding Bikes and Racing Etc. I cant do in thailand. And if I wanted to, I would have to pay extortionate fees/rates for anything.

Plus, For some reason, my credit score in the states is really messed up, and there is absolutely no reason for it. So it would be wise of me to go back there for a few years and fix everything.

For me, and the things that I like to do, USA is cheaper. And I cant get into the Thai way of anything. Even doing any kind of business here is a MASSIVE headache. I just feel like, if I'm going to spend money for something, Id rather pay a little more for quality and a guarantee.

Finally, Obama is REALLY anti-gun, and most of the gun owners are buying up all the ammo and guns and getting thier wepons permits, before Obama Trys to Change everything. I want to get back there and get all that stuff taken care of too. Make sure Ive got everything I need before its impossible to buy it.

So make me an offer... And I also challenge you to find a better R1 for the same price. If you can find me a better deal somewhere else, I might think about lowering the price a bit.

You get what you pay for, and If you want to spend 150 on something that goes 280+ kph and that's been owned and handled by thais, then be my guest. The end of the day, if I cant sell it, then I will probably just take the motor and trans and send it to the US and build a shifter cart or build a stunt bike.

^It's not anti-American. What you said has little to no basis in reality (apart perhaps from paranoid nutters buying up guns and ammo).

Not the thread for it anyways, good luck selling the bike.

Maybe YOUR Reality. But at the end of the day, the anti-gun people are going to cry. The pro-gun people will have they rights revoked and restricted, and criminals will still be getting their wepons illegally, leaving the citizen with nothing to protect himself.

    But whatever...

I think it's a reasonable price for Thailand, but it would be considered overpriced anywhere else.

These big bikes are crazy expensive here in thailand, and you can get some really BAD ones. 250 is a good price. Buyer would be getting a quality ride.

Yeah, but a buyer would be giving money to a self-professed gun nut too..
