Do you mean to tell me that your little Honda produces over 750 BHP?Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog

How many Mopar Hemi head engines do you see in Top fuel cars??
when it comes to raw muscle, there is no one in competition with American V8s.
Sorry, I thought we were talking about road vehicles. OK, I'll change the goalposts to fit my arguement, seeing as you can do it. How many US engines are used in any of the top tier motorsport series, such as F1, Superbikes, etc?
I guess 'English' engine makers don't feel it is much of a challenge to build an engine that only has to go a quarter of a mile in a straight line.
Jesus Christ, would you make up your mind, You were talking weak engines and horsepower per cube, then it changed to exaust noise, and I was talking V8s with raw HP, now you want to talk RPMs and longer runs.
Now what exactly do you want to talk about, Longevity? Horsepower per cube? Top horsepower, or top miles per hour.
And you seem to have forgotten INDY cars in there too. which run 200 MPH for 500 miles.
And I thought that super bikes were all Jap, dago or some such, which ones are limey?

True, Honda is Jap, But I didn't even know they built Norton anymore and I did see that they were making Triumphs again but I have not seen any do anything in the GP shit I see on my TV.
They have a dealership in San Diego and I went in and looked at the new Triumph in about 96 and was not really impressed much as all I could see was the Jap looking things like you see on the tracks at GP races that you ride humped up like a monkey fucking a jug, not for this old cat.
All yamasakis shit seems to me.
But I don't watch much morotcycle racing since" K" model days when I did a bit of it myself.
did you know Bg that the fastest stock Pick up in the world is the Orstraian Holden maloo?
Mark Skaife has just taken the crown with a 271.44km/h blast down the deserted bitumen strip at the disused Woomera test range in South Australia.
The V8 Supercar ace cranked out a maximum speed of 277.16km/h in the stock-standard Maloo, but his entry in the Guiness World Record books is a two-way average to eliminate any wind assistance.
Still, it was easily better than the previous mark of 248.78km/h set by a Dodge Ram SR-T with an 8.3-litre V10 motor in 2004.
Fast, what is a 6 liter?
Is that 400 Ci..be a stroked 350 I would imagine,, GM small block is an OK engine, I built the 350 I had in that 35 Ford pickup street rod I built.
A good thread ruined by Marmite & BG's ramblings.
When is Rigger gonna finish his project and post up some pics?
Suck a big one there dude..don't like what ya see,, stay the fuck off here then.Originally Posted by Travelmate

I don't think that HD builds a race bike, some light sport bikes and cruisers but nothing in the super bike class or has any intention of doing so, anymore than GM has plans to run a Sedan DeVille in the Indy 500.
But if you want a comfortable and stable ride with lots of miles a day then the big HD cruisers can't be beat by any other make.
Well they do, but its the same as most sports in the US in that it's a one make series so they don't lose.Originally Posted by blackgang

OK my gear arrived and gets fitted 10:00 am today and at the same time taking the lower part of the bumber off so they can make me a new front spoiler.
Will also get some race shocks priced, as well I am thinking about one or two racing strips over the bonnet and the roof in silver or red.
Need to look at some bonnet vents or scoops as well
