^ Looks like a beast that one, I would love one if they sold them here but I need to stick to the original plan of keeping things low so I can load bikes easier

Heres a picture of the new truck, yes I know its dirty. I am very happy with the Truck and service from Chevy, The little 2.5 engine puts out alot more power than my 2.5 pre runner but would like to get the motor upgraded. Does anyone know about these things ?
Total cost was 538K on road and spent another 33K on 17"rims and tires and 30K on Alarm/fog lights/neon head lamps, 6.5" DVD/TV/USB touch screen so its cost 600K but still cheap compaired to Isuzu and toyota.
Looks sweet mate
Think you are in for quite a big job if you want to drop a V8 into it. Whole drive train will have to be replaced not to mention fitment problems.Originally Posted by Rigger
Have you considered some modifications to up the performance of the 2.5 litre you have?
Like getting people to push it?Originally Posted by Norton
That price seems reasonable, the Toyotas and Isuzus are a lot more. I just got a Triton, 2.5lt top of the range for 565K, as well as a heap of extras like fog lights, insurance etc. Am quite impressed, fuel economy seems similar to the D-Max. Power and economy better than the Vigo I'd hired. Handling much better than both. Downside is resale value.
Don't know what you can do for more power, I think there are turbo kits you can fit, but it works out pricy and will affect the warranty.
I have just been looking about plug in upgrade they claim to boost the 2.5 Izusu engine from 116 hp to 144 hp. I guess the other way is larger turbo with some better breathing air filters and exshuast. Where is that truck race guy that use to post on here. I guess I could buy a used 3ltr get it worked and drop it inOriginally Posted by Smithson
I wouldnt want a Toyota as we just got 15 new vigos at work and what piles of junk they areOriginally Posted by Smithson
Feck why did you not buy the 3 litre?
Anyhooter Diesels need to breathe. Get a straight thru exhaust system, better airfilter, chip, bigger turbo/intercooler, bigger injectors, modify governor, etc, etc....
People will not be able to see when behind you for all the black smoke you will chuck after the performance upgrades have been fitted.
Might be cheaper to drop a Supra or Skyline engine in there.
But it still a pickup and therefore will perform like a brick.
And if you want it low, fit coil over shocks. But if you're a redneck, cut the front springs and fit blocks of wood to the rear cart springs.
No Chevy 3.0Ls available.Originally Posted by Travelmate
Of course, if he'd bought the Ford, he'd have exactly what he's trying to get to with these add-ons.
Enough of these weenie mobiles. This is what you need;
A dirty one the way they should be
