Where does your kids sit when you have 30 in the back? Do you throw them in the back or strap up inside?

We tied the car seats into the rear tray with seven ocky straps and they sit in there.

Those rear hydraulic/pnuematic...whatever they are...ones look good, but I need to throw various materials in the rear, including long stuff that will be sitting over the cabin, so need to know if those fibreglass canopies are very easy to remove, or are an hour long 2 or 3 person job....anyone know ??

Here is one of the kids seats in the back...real comfy, not tied in yet.

They even have an esky for when they get thirsty so I don't have to stop all the time and checkup on them.

    Alright, enoughs enough.

Tsk tsk to travelmate for his red....shame shame...I will accept 5 greens in a row as an apology though.

New car or second hand?... 17-01-2009 08:57 AM Travelmate Kids should be in the cab, at least give them a chance in life. Sorry Nawty you know what this red is for.

Anyone read this thread should know my stance on this.

And here below is a photo of the rear of my car and the kids seats all buckled in snice and tight.

    Ta much.

Well just return from trip away last night, was going to be 4 days, but i got me days mixed up, so only 3.

The first river crossing of the new truck was an outstanding success....it has had its virginity cracked.

Very happy with it, even though I did not want to get a new car.

Getting the rear tray liner and some other stuff done tomorrow. Then got a price for a nice style roo....or mocy bar for the front and a neat roolbar for the rear, both of them and some kick arse spotties for 15k.

A warn winch for 40k if i decide to go that far and even found a wallaby jack for 3k, so will be getting that i think also.

We went to a country cowboy festival last night on the way home, just like an aussie ag show, all the stalls, bands, displays etc. Mixing with the country folk we waz.

I got to showup a thai cowboy, he had a huge bullwhip, now i had never cracked a bullwhip, only stockwhips, so he looked at me and said ...'go on farang, give it a go, ha ha ha'.....so I did, he shut up giggling when I let off the first crack, then a double crack, but just failed for a triple....practice.

Toyota also had a 4wd test track there, so I jumped in the vigo and give it a run. Was very good track, all the elements, 45 degree + hill and descents, big holes, 45 degreed bends, rocks, the works. Never driven an auto in 4wd before, performed very well, so happy now.

If you looked at the other pictures, it is the same for left hand drive cars too.

So....I had an accident recently....a knob....not the one we all know and love......hit the back of me, no great damage but enough to get the insurance involved to cover it.

So my Oz licence was not a problem, even went to the copshop to get a statement from the other party as they could not afford to pay for it upfront.

So with the insurance company and the cops the Oz licence was ok.

A copper stopped me a couple months back and said no no....even read the licence details and got it all correct. Then took it off to his superior to looksie....came back as all ok.

Well we do a lot of travelling.

Bumper will be new and replaced at 20k's soon.

Already scratches down the side form the bush....oh well, there goes my stress at having to try to keep it spick and span for at least 12 months before any offroad adventures......its a 4wd now.
