Ok cheers for the ebay links, i've found 2 guys who are selling them from Thailand one charging 30 quid another charging $40 US and obviously they will be making a huge mark-up so what i need to find out is who manufactures the fookers or where these guys get them from.

^^Putting plastic on your brakes don't sound like a good idea to me not something i'd do personally or recommend especially with Thai made fakes, but as i said i'm just trying to source them for a mate.

Get some brass "gold chains" and a Nolex watch while you're at it.
