Maybe I was too quick off the mark. Just checked the last lot I bought 4 sets at TB43,000. Therefore that makes it TB10,750 per set. So no, nobody saw me coming. I guess they saw you coming and charged you 3 to 4 grand extra.

You can buy off the shop floor Dragons [at] TB13,000.

That is good mileage for tyres. I change mine every other weekend. 17 grand for a set everytime.
I think you might be full of Crap TM, first you tell us you change tires every other weekend, how many riders do that ?
Then you say they "are 17 K a set every time", now you have changed the price to only 10,750 a set. FOS mate

Sorry you feel that way. It was expected coming from you. Given your dialogue.
Yes I do change mine every other weekend. Longest I have ever managed is three wekends. I buy in bulk. Not 1 set at a time. That would be a pain in the ass. As a regular buyer of these products I get them cheaper than most.

I'm mystified how you can get through a set of tires every other weekend, that's all, even using for track days, one set should last 6 x half day sessions at least.

I wish. Guessing you are judging wear on amount of rubber left on tyre. Track tyres lose grip after a certain amount of heat cycles. I change mine when they lose grip. I have done four track days on one set and it is not pleasant at all on the fourth track day. The grip is not there. And I value my life. So therefore I stay on the safe side and change rubbers when I decide it due.

WHOA !!! I said coming off a traffic light, not a drag strip. And certainly not a 1000. I haven't seen anything bigger than a 750 around KK and there so dressed up and loaded with H-D look-a-like gizmo's there too damn heavy to beat a 125 Wave off a light.
Sorry, didn't mean to sound so uppity. I had H-D's in the States so I know what speed vs. weight is. My point was why do so many riders think bigger is better when most of their riding is at normal highway speeds ?
Now, someone give me some idea's on how to turn my little 400 Springer/Steed into a small trike... please..!!

I don't know who those guys are, but I bought my Steed from the big bike shop 9in downtown KK. The owner I think is the President of the KK motorcycle club. I see the young guys there working on choppers, but also i found out who is making the frames, fenders etc, so i went to see him. The kids at the big bike shop just put the pieces together. The guy I saw makes those body parts. He showed me a pic in a magazine of a remake of a vintage bike with a sidecar, so I think the trike idea will work. If not, then its a chopper.
    Thanks for your reply.

Don't waste your money, why not buy a proper bike ? even one of those VFR 400's like Rigger brought, little crotch rockets they are and they go around corners FAST.
If you bugger around with those girly baby choppers you will end up turning homosexual, then you will start wearing earrings and grow a pony tail.
You will be embarrassed when you are dragged off the stop lights by Mum taking the kids to school in her Honda City.
You can't even park them outside a bar because dogs will piss on it & people will take a dump on it, complete waste of time they are.

Only if you keep leaning to the left. The right side of the tyre is completely shagged out.

True, the centre of the tyre is still brand new. While the right side is shagged and the left side you could say worn.

How big is your bottle? How many hits you get out of it?
Have you melted a piston or bent a valve yet?
Do you race for pinks? or should it be green? (Green book)

No reason for this to happen as long as you dont run lean or run into the rev limiter. I will probably end up putting on the quick shift and the little thing that stops you from hitting the rev limit with the bottle open

Should get between 7 -10 runs from 3rd to 6th gear. Going on what the other guys get on the net

Having a quickshifter, is brilliant. I don't know how I managed without one. Just pin throttle to stop, wait for shiftlight to start flashing, click up a gear while still keeping throttle pinned hard to the stop. And never touching the clutch.
    Sheer pure bliss.

I would like it but dont really need it, I just have a rich map as a #2 and and have also in riched it again by 10% from 5K to 11K rpm using the touch screen. Alot of the guys are just spraying one jet onto the AIT sensor and are getting away with 20 Hp shots so with the MPS and Dynojet set up I will be good for the 36 Hp shot.
