I think you really have to tell the police, Rigger. Then it's up to them. How would you feel if you said nothing & then she hit someone else - maybe (God forbid) a friend or in-law? If they (BIB) do nothing, then it's not your conscience. TIT. But if you don't say, someone's death could be on your conscience in the future.
    It's the right thing.

Best advice here. Don;t go to the cops but to the man or his wife let them know and act on the information as they see fit. Wouldn't go in a with a story "she did it" but present the information you know let them work it out. No need to personally get involved with the cops or start something maybe even the injured party doesn't want started.

If you think the police won't do anything then take the law into your own hands - us farangs have to stick together and us motorbike enthusiast farangs have to stick together.

Next time she goes to Lotus or Big C follow her in a pick up if you have one, (if not borrow Texpat's) - then just as she is getting out of her pickup, slam on the pedal and shunt into the side of her pickup just as she is halfway out of the door, squashing her messily between Tex's pickup and her own.

Seriously though, the guy in the coma could have been you or me or Loombucket or Eliminator or Dalton or Norton so do what Fisco Frankie said - let them work it out, maybe say to her "Are you sure it wasn't a farang you hit?".

    careful!
if you tell her and she is a bitch, what is to stop her stitching you up or arranging an "accident for you"
let the BIB deal with it in a round about way

Guy goes to teh BiB, she's got a brother in same, or uncle, or sister-in-law has a cousin that knows a guy... Give the victims the information and leave it at that. Thai cops are gangsters, if they happen to come down on the side of the one that did the deed Rigger could find himself in the middle of some shit he really doesn't want.

Every Thai must have connections to a copper somewhere down the line, the police must get sick of cousins, best friends, husband's wives asking for favours.

    "Shit happened!" in this case.

Hope the poor sod pulls through OK.

Speak to your English mate and if doesn't help go to the police. Where abouts did the accident happen? And did the police come to the scene of the accident? Was there any reports lodged at the hospital (cause of accident). If he dies then certainly a report will have to be lodged and with the British Embassy.
If you can get some pictures of the car and showing the damage do it. It is quite easy to match paintwork and overlay actualy damage to both vehicles.

Moreover she left the scene of the crime here which is quite serious.

Talking to a solicitor might also help and to light a fire under the police bums. It helped for me.

Whoever said be carefull of reprisals is dead right. Good luck.

What makes you think it would happen again?
Do you know some details about her driving others don't?

Best left alone, what good would there come from going to the police?

Curiously, Rigger has not been back to this thread...

Lets face it. What would be right is to report the incident and follow it up for the sake of the injured guy. Hospital bills, loss of income, repair of his bike and then recuperation. God knows what long term physical difficulties he is facing.

Then again I doubt the bitch is insured. Has little or no money and the police probably will only say the farang should not have been here anyway.

Hope he's got a good insurance policy.
