    Tire beads

I had my rims painted on my bike last month and they removed the balancing weights and now when I get over 200 kph the front starts to bounce.
To get them re balanced I have to send them to bangkok which is a pain in the ass.
So I am going to try these tire beads Tire Balancing Products
I read some good thins about them on some forums, anyone used them before ?

a mate was getting into them a while back, he rang me and was banging on about it, was talking about setting up a company here in oz, to be honest i only halfed listened, i don,t go to phillip island every year either though, he too was a bit of a boy racer, sadly he was killed in a mva, so the project went with him, i do recall basically what he told me was about the same claims as in the link, sorry i can,t be of more assistance, good luck with it, fancy having to send your rims away for a balance fuck that! i thought a man of your skills you,d be able to build a basic static machine

Hey Rigger, at the speeds you like to travel............
Spend the money and get it done properly even if it's a trip to BKK

Up country is only geared to service the 125cc stuff - they only see your level of equipment in magazines

BUT could it be the tyre that is the problem as well ??

What makes you think they will do it properly in Bangkok as well the bike chews through tires every 3 to 4k so thats lots of trips to bangkok so I really dont want to go that way unless I have to

Hey, In the states they have a goo that comes in a big bucket with a pump and it is a bead sealant and also works as a balancer, we always had it pumped into a new tire when installed, I aint sure if it is a good a balancer as some say, but it did stop bead leaks and so I always had it with spin balance as well.
But I damn sure doubt that they have it here, might check tho,
We called it "Elephant snot" or "buffalo cum".

But it is easy to build a static balancer, we wven built one to static balance 10' or 12' pump impellers for dredge pumps.
Be simple to build a vert. one for M/C wheels.

I built a static wheel balancer, a static one is all a MC tire needs because its quite narrow. I copied it off a photo I took of one I saw in the Ducati pits, worked well, only difficult bit is getting precision bearings.
Its a rare occasion when MC wheel tires need balancing, they are built to very high tolerances. part of the reason for the high price. Only thing to watch for is that Somchi has got the painted spot lined up with the valve stem.

If your in town you should come down to the next track day, getting around 80 bikes each time now, even get quite a contingent coming down from Udon.
I can balance yr rubber as the aforementioned balancer is in the pits.

    Buy one.
They are only 118 USD including international airfreight.

    Universal Motorcycle Wheel Balancer

That's cheap. I paid 300 GBP for something not as good in the UK

    Look good Rigger.

Also mentions in the how to do it to motor cycles tyre section that you can use that big black mambo vibrating cock you keep in your tool box to speed things up getting the beads in.
