Just bought a heap of gear for the old TLR. Dont tell the wife
New OEM front fairing as the fiber glass one didnt fit very well
Carbon triple clamp protector
Carbon rear can protector
passlo race levers
stianless bolt kit
Bitubo steering damper
wavey discs
Iridium plugs
Some flash speedo and rpm face things and new gauge cover
Head stem bearings ( just going to change them while I have it apart to get polished)
and some other bling parts that I can't think of at the moment
Dalton if you want you can buy the new second hand straight front discs that I bought for 100 buck or have the slighly bent ones for free
My spare set of rims are in being polished and painted with clear coat
Still cant decide what Tires to run Michellen PP or the Dunlops ?
^ Sounds good mate, I'll take the ones to 100 baht.. buck or baht is same same right
Anyway, what are the chances that we can get the GSXR to run ok at low reps ?? Do you have any time when you come back. ??
Pretty dam good I would say as it seems that alot of people have had the same problem and any time after about the 20th of jan will be goodOriginally Posted by Dalton
^ Ok then, I'll come up and stay for a few days, then there should be a slight chance that we at one point will be sober enough to play around with it
^ i,m jealous, alchohol, motorcycles and tinkering,, how good does it it get? all its neede now is some nice smoke,,
I love the thread. i can't say anything, becasue I don't have a bike anymore.
How about a thread, what kind of bike did you used to own
Rotor warping,
I would have to replace the rotors on my R1 as often as the pads, did some research on it and often a mention of pad shadows left on the rotor. Invisible but a micro transfer of pad material to a local spot on the rotors which result in local heating in that area.
I was using EBC pads, so changed to SBK Lorraine, no difference. another set of rotors fvcked, changed to Performamce friction (USA) after that not a problem. So I tend to agree with the opinions posted on the sites I investigated, pad material plays an important part in warping.
^ I bought some el-cheapo carbon-ceramic pads from RB for my Blackbird.
Fucking things never stopped unless they were hot enought too melt steal.
Used to scare the shit out of me pottering around town.
Nah then I go all mullet eyed and I forget to tighten bolts and takes me twice as long to do anythingOriginally Posted by nedwalk
Mine was from dickhead clamping onto the disc while changing the front tireOriginally Posted by peterpan
^ True, but it makes the test-driving much more interesting...
When you order the tires, then let me know, I need a new rear one as well.Originally Posted by Rigger
Had to get rid off mine, due to not enough time.
^ Yeah me too*
*That's code for your wife made you sell yours like mine did me right?
^^ Nice bike, but how can you not have enough time ? Just a few hours now and again.

^ Nope, just honest. Sometimes a man has to stop, take a breath, and admit that none of us actually controll bugger all no matter how much we brag to our mates at the pub.
Sometimes you have to lose some battles to win the war - I lost the bike but got to buy a pointless and impractical car.

You got it. Just because your free and single again, dont rub it in.
It wasn`t just that though. Too many near misses, two friends who are lucky to be alive, due to idiot drivers (both now have one leg shorter than the other), and the arrival of my son who i dont want growing up without a father.
Might consider getting something for off roading though.
I aint superstitious, but I know when somethings wrong

A mans motorcycle and his job are two things that woman should not have any say in
I can see your point, but people are different, I would only give up the bike if I was in desperate need of the money elsewhere.Originally Posted by AntRobertson

When I had a bike shop it would amuse me, these weak gutted farangs that would come in look at a bike, say yup, thats want i but have to ask the missus first.
Fvck me, no wonder these dildos get ripped off by their women. So the missus would come in with Mr pussy whipped and the only thing they could say, reduce the price a bit, now they wouldn't know what a a bike was worth or not worth, but Mr weak guts pussy whipped would stand there as proud as punch while his "missus" negotiated with me.
She would then switch to speaking Thai, and say all right we agree to the price but you keep 5 % to give me right! Like fuck I would.
