I guess because the plastic liner was offerred as one of the so-called FREE accessories & it would have been impolite to have declined. I didn't know about the alternatives, truth be told.

won't be long til you will wish you had found out about the alternatives when the pickup bed bottom rusts out.

I guess we need a thread entitled 'Pick-Up Bed Liner Options'.

    Point taken, however.

The Sammitr top is designed in such a way that it slightly overlaps the side of the truck rather than sits on top as does the Carryboy. I figure that will afford a modicum of protection against water infiltration.

/\/\ It's the times that the cover is off . And if no rain is present you still will have it washed - correct? That truck is a good looking ride and if you have a Diesel Engine it should out last you.

Oh-Yeah. Would you stop please looking up my trouser leg please!

It's all about risk minimisation at this point. I think I'm pretty well covered enough. The dealership also had the underside rust-proofed as part of the deal, which will help when driving on wet motorways etc.

I will ask my wife to be ever so careful when washing it.

New truck bed is only about 10,000baht fitted, 4,000baht to get it sprayed up, and you got a brand new back end for your truck.

I think I did as long as you get it fitted by someone who know what he is doing. Just remember the second aircon sucks a heap of power from the engine

If you get a hard top, I imagine something would also need to be done with the registration. I've only got stainless steel bars on the sides and I had to get a permit or something for that.

I don't know either, but it could be the case. I've got a permit for the steel bars on my pick up. Whenever I'm stopped at road blocks, this is the first thing they ask for.

Never heard of that either, but anything's possible. If it means a good feed tonight, they'll try it.

if you had a carryboy on the with a sliding/removeable window in the rear of the cab would that be powerful enought for the peasants in the back?

My Suzuki Jeep has one and the previous owner took out the window so the AC would get into the back. I haven't sat back there but it works ok, the front is cold anyway, the ac is great! It's good for the kids and locals to clamber into it but it is a bigger window than pickups.

I think it would work ok, will still send the locals to sleep!
