    8 iconic cars + colours?

Just saw Sir Looper's model GT40s in his soup thread and it got me back on track *pun wink* about finishing off a wall in me villa.

Around a year ago I stuck up 8 of me model Ferraris:

The lighting and Buddha have been adjusted since then, and I was considering another 8 Ferraris on the other side of the room.

But think offsetting them with 8 multi-coloured driving icons would be better.

So now need to choose 8 iconic cars and their proper colours.

Like having a model of the Wright brother's Kitty Hawk next to me meter tall Saturn V rocket, the Model T would need to be there.

Which leaves a few places left to fill.....

    Suggestions?

^ A Ghostbusters car would be useful.

Because they come with a spirit level!

^ Well if it isn't the Somerset Side-Splitter.

Veyron and McLaren F1 possibly added.

Matra MS-670 in blue and white.

Jaguar is a must have, but too many to choose from. I always liked the C and D types.

Alpine Le Mans car, take your pick on year.

    I agree.

But which model is iconic, groundbreaking or did something special?

The Miura - the world's first production supercar
McLaren F1 - hit 241mph and was the fastest production car for around 30 years
The Veyron didn't really break ground, as utterly smash it to pieces.

The silver DeLorean could be there.

Why not make a wall of 8 of your own previous classic rides?

Such as... the piegate abandoned-orphan meet up in your black cinquecinquecinquecinquecento

The Pink Scoopy you got confronted by a male elephant in must on

    Your daughters Xmas present

Your white jammer which needed the engine rebuilding after you put the coolant in the wrong hole

    Your pre-deportation Australian whip

    Your latest ride

Subaru Impreza. Ford Cosworth. Blinged up Corsa.

Pretty much anything from Max Power magazine.

Scale model of whatever car you currently have.

Not a bad call, actually. That one that Colin McRae dominated the world in during the mid/late 90s.

Could see how that could be involved.

tbh, I'm looking more at ground breaking cars that were actually driven on the roads, not just on race tracks.

Have a wall of stolen 80s hot council estate hatches such as Peugeot 205 GTI, Astra GTE, Renault 5 GT Turbo, Fiesta XR2, Escort XR31, Cosworth RS Turbo, MG Maestro and Mini Metro Van den plas.

Here's one for the list... in BRG.

The modern version of an absolute classic.

And luckily enough I followed it for a while, lucky because otherwise I would probably have turned left on the red light. I find this the hardest habit to get out of when driving outside of Thailand.

A free Racing Green if you can guess the driver!

^ Bladdy hell Nev, that is uncanny. And also a bit unnerving, truth be known.

Was that you sat in the corner of the Lord Nelson while we had lunch?

    Green owed.

Big sister or little sister, for another owed Green?
