100% cash or credit.... no reason to lose a commission due to ignorance.

That is true in America as well that the salespeople have financing incentives. You defo want to wait until everything is in order before dropping cash on the desk like that. Most situations that would be impressive, but when buying a car/bike/whatever the opposite is actually true. It will not entice them to deal with you.

Whilst I understand the cash/credit thing the fact I was using cash had nothing to do with it as she refuse to sell unless I went to immigration to get a residency certificate which I (having a work permit) 100% do not need.

Unless your saying that even if i did get a resi cert she still would have refused the sale.

No I wasn't saying that. I think at this point she's just taken a position and she's Thai so nothing will change her mind. Not sure whether the cash made a difference, probably not but just pointing it out that these transactions are a little ass backwards and throwing cash down straight away isn't going to be helpful.

Well as credit was never an option nor even mentioned I fail to see why laying cash down made any difference to the outcome, would she have accepted my work permit if I left the cash in my pocket............. I seriously doubt it.

I think the issue is she thought all foreigners need a resi cert and did not like being told otherwise (or to call her boss) so in typical Thai fashion the dumb fucken "face" thing meant she lost a sale.

Cannot go wrong with a Honda here. Dealers and parts everywhere. You won't really need any parts unless it takes a spill. Very reliable bikes. I have one I bought in 2002 Honda Sonic and it is still going strong with just normal oil changes, filters, brakes and tires. Nothing else. I have quite a few bikes and the Honda's are hard to beat.

    Yamaha.

Everything you listed, but cheaper and still a very good quality name.

    IMO.

Besides. They are scooters. Not like we're discussing the merits of one brand of sport bike or luxury car over another.

But yeah I like Honda also & buy most everything I can Honda. Lawn mowers & stuff.

I dropped into Mityon on Tai today with cash, passport and work permit.

Sounds like a deal. With the hills in your area, it's just what you need.

Sounds fair to me. It's been dropped, but the broken plastic has been replaced, though there's still some scratches and such. I'll take some pictures and send them to you. ~23k on the odo.
