    Your favorite car ever

Choose one. Just one and explain why it is your favorite car ever.

It's the Lotus Carlton. I love this car. Had a friends dad who had one and used to take us on the A1 for joy rides. It was just stupidly fast yet it was a Carlton. No traction control, no electronics to keep it stuck to the road. It was one of the cars that featured on the front page of the red tops for being too fast for British roads.

It used to hold the honor of the fastest production saloon car in the world.

^ That's a very nice machine Mrsquirrel, I wonder what they fetch in good nick these days?
I remember being a kid of about 12 and the next door neighbours bought a Maserati Bora. I was so green with envy as at the time my Mum and Dad had matching Mini Metros. I was so embarrassed by these poor excuses for cars that I had to be heavily disguised before I'd set foot inside them! That Maserati was one sweet machine though and it stood out like a sore thumb in a street full of BL's finest

Lotus Carlton - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Wiki for it.

I think from a few of the club websites a left hand drive model goes for 35,000 euros.

I don't have a photo of it, but my favourite car was my old Triumph Dolomite Sprint . . . yellow with a black vinyl roof . . . it beat the pants off my best friends Alpha. (until the engin block fell off)

1961 VW Bug. My first car and my favorite. No gas gauge, crappy heater, weird transmission. I had some great trips in that car; surfing, backpacking, hitting The City for some fun.

^Bugs were great this is the next best thing:
The 1973 Porsche 911E: The last of the lightweight 911s. Very drivable and easy to maintain. Race car tough with superb handling in the right hands.
It's a drivers car which demands the driver's attention.

My first 'proper' car. In-line 6 with triple carbs this thing would scream! Purchased it (not this exact one, don't have my pics here) for $9,500 and later sold it for $12,000. This same thing now goes for close to $50,000. Brilliant.

The E Type Jaguar coupe. The reason SEX. Its a rolling penis, as well, it is fast, sure had its downsides but like a slightly flawed, gorgeous woman its worth putting up with just to behold its beatiful lines.

    Any car.

Your favorite car ever. You can have owned it or not.

Doesn't have to be a dream car.

BMW is my favorite car ever, still the car of my dream becoz i never have a chance to drive it before. Hope i can drive it one day soon even it's not mine, hehe. Don't know about Ferrari but it should be cool for sure, anyway, it's not worth to drive in Bangkok with the horrible traffic.

Always loved Bentleys for their style, grace and absurd horsepower.

I think the New Continental GT coupe takes the cake !!

(would be even better if it came with Paris Hilton !! )
