Thread: 1o Year Thai Driving Licence

The other day I was checking as to see how long my Thai driving licence had to go as I renewed it quite some time ago , to my pleasant surprise it was valid until Jan 2021! ,as its expiry date is in Thai too I asked Jan to check it too and yeah it was a 10 year licence alright , some what puzzled at this I phoned a friend up who's lived here for yonks and appears to be a walking mine of information , he said it was cos I was over 70 when applying last time and its quite normal practice to give you a 10 year licence instead of the normal 5 .
