Where to get a universal digital motorcycle instrument panel?

    Hi there all!

As the the thread title I'm after an all in one universal digital motorcycle instrument panel.

I sold a Bandit 250cc which was fitted with a CBR Engine and have done most of the work on the bike but can't get the clocks to work so I'm after a universal digital instrument panel to replace it with.

I can order one from China on Aliexpress but I can't really wait as the guy is waiting for his bike back....

Clearly I cannot find anything in Laos but any suggestions of where to get one in Thailand would be great! Can order one via post to Nong Khai if needs be.

    Thanks

Sure, you can buy some cheap Chinese crap which may or may not work for a month or two...

Personally I'd recommend you spend a bit more for a quality gauge. KOSO's basic universal gauges are good quality and not terribly expensive:

I've seen them for sale at some of the Kawasaki dealers in and around Bangkok (Real Motorsports on Ramkamhaeng most recently) and also at K-Speed: k_speed - k-speed

The problem I see is that no matter what you buy you still have to get it working. The one above has way too much information all of which has to be made to work.

    This one has less

    http://www.asianconceptthai.com/prod...er-1462-2.html

    Koso RX2 Speedometer
    Code : WC-1125
    Price : 8,000.00 Baht

Then you'll need one of these

    SPEED SIGNAL CONVERTER BF580011 FOR RX2N, DB01R, DL-02S
    Price : 550.00 Baht

Which looks OK but again it all has to be made to work.

Exactly which bits don't work on the original? Maybe they never did?

Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?

As an alternative there is that section of motorcycle madness behind the stadium (Skytrain intersection) in BKK. Just drive on the road that runs with the football field for about 10 blocks. It starts at about soi 30th as I remember.

    Thanks for all the info!

In all honesty I'd be fine with a cheapy Chinese one as it's just to get it finished ready for the guy to collect.

The rest of the bike is all done, just need to get some dials working which don't work as their Bandit dials trying to talk to a CBR Engine....I'm certain that getting a universal digital clockset to work would be much easier than trying to get the originals to work.

Anyhow my friend went to Khon Kaen today so fingers crossed he comes back with something tomorrow.
