Only 3 coloured bits, surely not much trouble to get it sprayed.
I would never re-spray brand-new, undamaged plastic parts- I like the red and I'm in no rush- it would never be as good as factory paint in any case.

I have a black MSX I bought back in August. 4 months old, 2,000kms on it and still had red plates. 50k baht cash. 62k seems to be the going rate on Dealfish.

Great little round the town bike and I even punished it between Songkhla and Hat Yai 4 or 5 times, twice 2 up. I done a 10k trip with a right fat cnut on the back and it never even bottomed out the suspension and cruised no problem at 80. I think I've had about 105kph out of it and I get 220kms to 170 baht of 91 benzine.

Expect to be sitting with your nuts getting crushed when taking a pillion.

Plenty mods available, only thing I'm really after is dirt style tires. The bike itself is quite quiet with the stock exhaust but I'll keep it that way. It's been handed down to Rollergirl on the arrival of my Harley, but we've kept her wave for convenience of nipping to the shop/market whatever for the basket.

Worth noting is the fully manual gears, as supposed to the KSR's 'step-through style'.

    Solid little bike.

This Pattaya Lad has it sussed.

    Lang may yer lum reek...

FS, have you taken delivery on your 125 yet? If so, how about some pics?

Not yet- a red one is on the dealership delivery manifest for tomorrow (Monday) in which case I'll pick it up on Tuesday or Wednesday, but experience has eroded my confidence in delivery schedules- I really don't want to settle for my (distant) second color choice (white), but I probably will if I don't see it by Friday- they've got stock on both black and white, but the red one is scarce, apparently.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Apparently not- that was indeed the Zoomer that was being referred to (though it does look good in yellow).

I'll post my impressions of it when I get it.

OK, red just became my favorite color.

The bike will be more for my wife, so I think it may wind up being white, but we will see.

Black is best, white is worst and red looks a bit crap IMO.

It's still just a wee 125 remember. It's small, when I ride it I'm sitting on the pillion's jesus handle. Sit a little further back and you have the right balance for a wheelie.

I have three black bikes in Thailand and two in the US, so I was trying to get something different than that color. Since the yellow is not available, that only leaves white and red.

Even though I will be using it around the village, my wife will probably be the main rider. Do I get a 6th black bike?

I can always have it painted another color.

    Pattaya Pimp Gold

    Leprechaun Green

    Schizoid Rainbow

    Sharkskin Gray

    Camo

    Halloween Orange

I just ordered this wrap for the MSX, which will limit the color to black. Guess I will now have 6 black motorcycles. Job done.

Anyone want to buy a hardly used Honda CBR 250? I would like to knock it down to 5 black bikes until I sell my HD and custom.

^ Hmmm... looks like a Hardley rider in denial wrap job to me.

If it's stupidly cheap and the Midget can get her leg over she'll take a look at the 250.

You got the first part right. I can't totally leave behind my HD, chopper background even when I am in Thailand. It will give me something to tinker with until I get the Z800.

I'll bring the 250 by to let your wife throw her leg over it. Not asking silly money and for you I may even go easier than any other of the crazy foreigners. We can talk later.

Picked up my red one today- it's definitely a fun little toy- I won't be able to play with it much until next week, but I can tell it's a good bike to get into trouble on:

FS, what was the final price? I am hearing 74,000 here in Udon but they do not want to take cash. Silliest thing I have ever heard. This will probably change in 6 months time when I am ready to buy.

That sounds right- it might have been 75K including a plate with '125' on it.

Paying in full with cash was no problem- I still can't believe some dealerships won't take payment upfront.

You'll probably get cheaper than that Rick; NewYorker always pays through the nose...

I like the colour kit you've chosen, but can you get rid of the advertising bit on the chain cover? Still reckon that Repsol colours is the way to go; I love the orange rimmed wheels...

Mine's due a trip to the docs. There's a thin wire that comes down the right side and attaches to some kind of adapter that goes into the piston, further forward than the spark plug. Anyone tell me what that is? The bike still runs but limited power, mostly from stop but can still reach top speed.

The chain is as slack as a Thai's work ethics (and slipped off the other day) and the clutch cable is getting that way too.

About 5,750kms on it but RG's been driving it since about 2,500kms. Next service not due 'til 8k.

^ I don't own a MSX but first guess would be a temperature sensor? Maybe Failsafe could shed some more light on it.

I have no idea, but I really haven't done anything to the bike yet besides fill it with gas- is there anything in the manual? It's available as a free download from Honda.
