I went through a real horror show getting my bike finished and delivered (details on another thread- I just want to forget about it), but I took delivery of my Kawasaki ZX-14R late last night. I took a fair share of (much deserved) grief over it, but at least it's here.
Of course it rained overnight and this morning (quite heavily) and is still threatening a bit, so I might not get to ride today, but I did get the chance to look it over quite well, and- surprisingly, considering how long it took to get delivered- there's not a mark on it. I started it up, and the exhaust I had installed (a titanium full CT single system from Brock's Performance in the States- it dropped over 30lbs from the bike) sounds great- I ordered the QuietKore model, and I'm glad I did as I wouldn't want it any louder.
I've also got a PC-V installed (which was mapped by Brock's for my bike and this pipe), Spiegler braided-steel brake lines and EBC HH pads, Pazzo levers (the standards, not the shorties), HID headlights, and I've got a Garmin Zumo 350 (currently mounted to the left clip-on, but I'm going to move it to the steering stem), and I'll be loading a new map to the secondary setting of the ECU later this week.
Obviously with no test-ride the thing could be a heap of crap, but it looks pretty good. I'm gonna install a new windscreen and fuel cap (and a couple other small doodads) and dump the ugly stickers on the tank pretty soon.
I've got a few more mods planned, but those can wait a while.
