They're about $20,000 new, unless it's the real super high end package, and then it can creep up to $30,000. If Thailand is like here (Philippines), there's about 100% duty. Even so, that price seems quite high.

The bike doesn't appeal to me, but the advertisement says it has a green book and a lot of accessories- that price is in the ballpark for Thailand.

    Rigger would know.

Looking at that it is a CVO so was 2 million baht new.
Don't like the paint but have seen some better looking CVOs in better colors.

Thailand is expensive for any luxury items except beer and beaver.
I don't find that price to off putting, I would have about a million baht invested (spent) into each one of my bikes which to me is ok because I don't intend on selling either of them.
It really depends on your earning capacity
Two months oil hand salary = CVO Harley
Two months school teacher = Honda wave

Most the Harley haters on the net are people that don't ride anyway or they are broke ass cnuts that can't afford one and most have never ridden one.

Yeah, I have to agree- while I'm not a fan of HD, I don't rip on anyone for their choice of bike (tease, yes, but honestly denigrate, no)- I see the appeal, but I don't feel it (if I did I'd be riding one)- at least we're all on two wheels.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

For me the only compliant would be the cost of upgrading a Harley engine to get decent performance. A stock Harley doesn't do much for me but add cams, heads, full pipe and Fuel controller and you start to get some where.
Next toy for me is a night rod with apes and forward controls and decent set of pipes. That way I will have a quick handling cruiser with out having to sacrifice reliability or a shit load of money upgrading the engine.

What do you get out of that at the wheel- 110hp? You're still going to put money into the engine- you'd do it if you got 200hp bone-stock- you won't be able to help yourself- once dicking around with engine performance is in your blood, you're hooked.

I told myself I wasn't going to do anything to my bike- that lasted about 5 minutes...

    Just don't buy Harley period.
If still you want to hanker after performance and ride big ass bikes.
Try the Victory motorcycles. They come with 106 cubic inch motors. Way bigger than any Harley you'll get from the local dealer in Bangkok. Which is mostly 96 cubic inch.

^ CVO/ Touring models are yes, but not all models are, as the Victory models. All 106.
