    ^^ Do that mate

    Money comes - money goes.

Most of the time we have to spend it on needs, but every now and again we get to spend it on a want.

Apart from it looking better imo its lighter and more rigid and I'm using the er6 as my track/race bike.
Apart from that the stock rear shock has been upgraded, heavier fork oil, slicks, rear sets and I'm running a power commander along with the two brothers pipe and airbox mods. Steel brake lines and race pads so it stops better too. It's probably 12-15hp up on standard.

I was heading over to the warehouse tomo to check for u mate.

I've had this bike for about a month and considering Tony is my best mate here - I have been around, ridden and worked on the bike for a long time.

But no worries Ratchaburi, if you want to be rude and try to make fun of me that's all good, just make sure you have your facts straight first or you will look silly.

    Cheers

I agree, sorry to go off topic.

For the budget the cbr is a great choice, I know a couple of guys that are very impressed with their new bikes.

    Cheers

^ It's all good Gentlemen - and we're mid week - so no brawling

500 isn't the holiest of holys, but it smashes fvck out of a 125.

Like you point out Ratch - get the best you can, and enjoy it.

^Right place, right time, right people getting off their behinds and joining the flow - would make any guide book yet written seem like a note on the back of a napkin.

For someone that knows both bikes - just how much better is the ER6N? worth the extra 1500bt??
I had the opportunity to test ride both at the same time via a friend who works for an auto magazine in Thailand. I like both bikes to be honest, but the mid range power impressed me way over the Honda. I had just under an our on both which isn't a great deal of time, but I ended up purchasing the Kawasaki Versys a month ago. One thing that I don't like about the Versys is the vibration through the handle bars which leaves me with numb fingers. However, I was also riding the bike wrong having owned an R1 in the UK and being absent from riding for over 7 years. I was sat too far back, or as far as I could go instead of being near the tank with my gonads. It has made a big difference to the comfort of riding.

Either way I don't think you could go wrong with the Honda or Kawa. Just depends on your budget. My friend recommended the Kawa, he had both for me to try and regardless of his views the Versys was preferable for me.

ShagN. Did you buy the big? My mate is interested in the 500x. How much deposit did you pay and did you require a guarantee?

That er6 is very nice - just had a ride. Reckon there's plenty of power there to do yourself a mischief with.

    IT's wheelie central - it's chicken oriental.

For touring - it would have to be the versys then wouldn't it. I can't justify that extra money - i would have to be buying a car for the family at that point.

Well CB500X it is - save the er6 for when I win the lottery.

    Cheers all.
Or an er6 / versys combo like mine

^ My what a sexy bike! It looks strangely familiar
