It's the complete opposite, actually, as I'll be picking it up from the dealership myself- I want to take delivery in March or April (as I'm moving and it's not convenient for me to have it at the moment) and they're pushing me to take it later this month or by early February- I'm not modifying it either (except perhaps a different mid-pipe to dump the cat) so there won't be any issues there either.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Still, it's quite the thoroughbred stable you are putting together there, what's next on the shopping list?

This time.
What is the Thai price ? 1,500,000.... The comp is the way to go if i could i would but the s1000rr is more my budget...

It's less than that.
If you want a track bike, the S1000RR is a better choice- the DDC suspension of the HP4 is great for the street, but it's not an ideal track set-up (it's not currently available for the RR at the moment anyway, though it certainly will be soon- it's an option on the new R)- still, even if you want it for the street it's unlikely you would keep it stock- a decent pipe adds near 100K, plus whatever else you will want to put on it- the base price is near 1mil, and I can't see dumping less than another 150K into it.
The beauty of the HP4 Competition is the amount of extras you get as part of the package, and it's all from the BMW HP division (except the exhaust)- it would be really expensive to add them to an RR (stock the Comp comes with an Akra exhaust, adjustable rear-sets, forged aluminum wheels, adjustable levers, Brembo mono-block calipers, 14-setting TC, stock quick-shifter, adjustable ABS, launch control, lots of carbon fiber, and of course the semi-active suspension, which is what I really want)- added up separately, all that would cost WAY more than BMW is asking.
Really, I won't do much to it- when it came to the 14R, I saw so many areas for improvement- the HP4 really doesn't have many- as I mentioned I might change the mid-pipe, and I'm considering adding a sensor for the front to activate the DDC for the fork (it really cuts down on steering lock, and it's more of a track accessory, but it interests me)- I will almost certainly add some CF parts (that being the only 'bling' I find acceptable on a motorcycle), but, other than that, any serious mods will void my factory warranty, which on this bike I want to maintain (unlike the 14R, which I voided before taking delivery...)
I won't be buying another bike for a while- if some things I'm planning for the future come to fruition, I might look at an interesting car, but that wouldn't be until late-2014 at the earliest.
I'd agree with that. I'd love a nice little BMW 5 series in Thailand, but even if I had the money, and I don't, paying the 100,000 pound ish pricetag for a 30,000 pound car would drive me to get a Honda... Just sayin... But, I agree that if you have the money then enjoy it, so good luck to you.Originally Posted by FailSafe

Why don't you put some nice blue rims on your black bike to colour it up a bit?

When are ya going to ride the bad boy ZX over to Ranong? Some great roads over here, and they're busy resurfacing many. Sadly many of the really nice twisty bits between Chumpong and Kraburi are going 4 lane, and the countryside is being carved up America interstate hwy style.
