    New Everest

Since the New Ranger stirred quite some interest here on TD, let's have a look at the new Everest (even as Wildtrack-Modell).

Still no shortened wheelbase like seen on the dreaded Fortuner and Pajero Sport?

The Bangkok Post wrote today about a release date shortly after the new Chevy Trailblazer.
Which is really helpful, since nobody seems to know when the Chevy is coming.

    Just to compare:

Obviously it'll be better than the Chevy, but I'm not convinced by the Forskinneresque rear-side window styling on the Everest.

Current Everest has a shortened wheelbase (shorter than the Ranger its based upon) and so will the new Everest.

It seems that the Escape replacement will be the lovely Kuga in a year or two.

A colleauge of mine moved to Switzerland about three years ago and sold me his 4 year old Everest.
I use it to go home to Phimai once a month, about a 600K round trip.
It's got about 75K on the clock and is serviced every 10K

It has not let me down so far, (although having said that............).

The wife hates the look of it, but I have to say the new one looks a lot better.
    You know nothing Jon Snow.
