A backbreaking 3.5km trek to Monkey Beach

First of all, you have to get yourself to the National Park in Penang. The park is free, but you have to register your name and time you arrived, probably incase the monkeys or snakes get you.

You can get a boat straight to Monkey beach from the national Park for a paltry 40 ringgit(400 baht) that is for the boat, not per person..
Or you can nearly kill yourself carrying a 16kg toddler on your shoulders up and down the inclined edge of the jungle and probably not walk for 3 days.

    Anyhow here's the views

    HERE'S DILDO !!

There's 2 rope swings as soon as you enter the park

Monkeys are very rare on Monkey beach if you read the reviews on trip advisor.
However we did see some, Be patient Koojo I do have a pic on the only Monkeys we saw on the trek. This photobucket is taking an age today.

Further down the trail, I was in no shape for walking up a lighthouse. That Kerachut beach is meant to be OK too. But that's a good long walk, and maybe why it has red arrows

This is the kind of terrain you have to deal with, up then down, up then down all the way

What's the odds on stopping for a shit in the jungle, wiping your ass on a banana leaf then rounding the corner to this ?

"Monkeys" (plural), I can only see one there.

Having just looked at that sign post again, I noticed there are distances on there and I see Kerachut Beach was less of a walk than Monkey Beach. Bummer

Oh well, this is a map of the route, and at this point in the thread we have just come around the first nook
